Chapter 5: Sonic is captured!

Plutomon arrived at the fortress and Barbamon walked out of the castle to meet him. He smiled when he saw him. "It's good to see you. It's been quite some time since I last saw you," said Barbamon.

"Of course, my friend." Plutomon was a little surprised that he had seen him so many times in the past, as they hadn't met in such a long time, but he understood the reason for it. The two were friends from very long ago.

"So what are your plans to capture the blue hedgehog?" asked Barbamon. "You're going to use him as an example to the others?" The other members of the rebellion, the ones who didn't think like him, had taken up the cause because they felt it would be fun to watch Sonic's demise. But he wasn't worried about them, he could easily defeat them.

"Well, I know where the blue one is, and I'm sure I can find him soon enough," Plutomon said. "After all, he's got the power of super speed and that's the key point."

"So he has such extraordinary power ." Barbamon chuckled. "That surprises me. No wonder he's become a hero of the Mobian.''

"Right!" said Plutomon with pride. He then looked at his friend and gave him a sly grin. "And by the way, I'm planning something special this time. I need your help with it."

"Oh, really?" Barbamon looked excited. His smile made his whole face shine. He liked hearing things he helped in any way possible. "What is it?"

"Don't worry. It'll surprise you when I tell you," said Plutomon mysteriously. "But it involves you in one way or another. We want him alive."

*Meanwhile*

Shadow and Rouge were on a mission to explore Tirathana, the general commander said that Eggman had escaped from prison 3 days ago. However, he was missing, and no trace of him could be found anywhere. Shadow and Rouge decided to look into it, along with Rouge's new partner, Omega, who was also looking for Eggman's whereabouts.

They traveled through the city of Tirathana, which was filled with beautiful buildings, and enjoyed themselves during their walk. They reached the headquarters of the city government. There were people there, mostly working hard. They had been working on their projects all day long without stopping. They decided to take a break and entered a bar in Tirathana to have a drink. Rouge noticed a group of humans and Digimon sitting near a booth, all talking among themselves. They walked to the bar stool and greeted the snow white lion much like Leomon.

"What can I get ya?" The bartender asked.

"I'll have a strawberry vodka mojito." She pointed to the beverage.

"And I'll have a Black Smash," said Shadow.

"Coming right up." The bartender took a pitcher of vodka and two glasses out of the cabinet and poured them both a shot of it.

"Here you go!" he gave them the alcoholic beverages.

They drank their shots, feeling their bodies relaxing. "This feels nice," Rouge said. "We haven't been drinking in a while. And we should try to drink more often."

Shadow agreed. "Yeah, this is great," he said. "We couldn't find Eggman, though, and now he's disappeared. Maybe we're being too optimistic if we think that he will come back after escaping from prison. It doesn't make sense."

"You're right," said Rouge. "Still, it's a shame. Maybe he finally realized the consequences of his actions. Perhaps he's trying to start over again."

Shadow shook his head and downed his second shot. "We won't give him another chance to do it. After all, I promised to make sure nobody gets away with what he did before."
