The three were sat around the table in Joyce's kitchen, all smoking a cigarette. Yes, Y/n technically wasn't old enough, but it didn't bother Hopper too much.

"Look, we gotta go through this again." Joyce said.

Hopper replies "We already told you everything we saw."

"Oh, gosh." Joyce sighed "Tell me again."

"Upstairs or downstairs?" Y/n asked and took a hit of the cigarette.

"Upstairs." Joyce replied.

Hopper started "There was a laboratory. It was where they must to experiments or something, and then there was..." he inhaled deeply before replying "There was this kids' room."

"How do you know it was a kids' room?" Joyce asked.

Y/n then said "More like a prison." She exhaled, smoke pouring out.

"So why would you think it was a kids room, then?" Joyce asked again.

Hopper sighed "Because, I told you, the size of the bed, there was a drawing, there was a stuff anima--"

"You didn't say there was a drawing." Joyce said.

"Yeah, there was a drawing of an adult and a child." Hopper said as Y/n realised "It said 'Eleven' on it."

"Was it good?" Y/n asked.

"It was a kids drawing, Y/n... it was stick figures." Hopper replied.

Y/n and Joyce looked at each other before Joyce got up and grabbed one of Will's drawings.

"Wasn't Will." Joyce said after slamming down Will's realistic drawing.

Hopper looked between Joyce and the drawing as gears worked in his head. Then he realised. He put the cigarette out and stood up.

"Earl..." he went to the living room, where they had loads of news reports sitting out, Y/n and Joyce out theirs out and followed "The day Benny died, Earl said he saw some kid with a shaved head with Benny. Now, I pressed him, he said it might be Will, but maybe..."

"Maybe... maybe it wasn't?" Joyce asked.

"Look, this woman, Terry Ives, she claims to have lost her daughter, Jane." He showed the two a report "She sued Brenner, she sued the government. The claims came to nothing, but what if... what if this whole time, I've been... I've been looking for Will. I've been chasing after some other kid?"

After a while of talking, Hopper looked at Y/n "Tomorrow. You are going to find your friend and see if she is okay. You know, with her friend missing or whatever."

"Who, Nancy?" He nods "Dad, i wanna help you find this little girl with a shaved..." she trailed away as she thought back to El.

There was a drawing... It said Eleven on it...

Hopper frowned "What?"

Y/n shook her head "Nothing. Nothing. I wanna help."

"No, you go see Nancy and make sure she's okay. You act like nothing is wrong. You do not tell anyone. Just morn like Will is gone, okay? Joyce and I will go find Terry." Hopper said.
