ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 9: ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴀᴛᴇ

"Eleven." Mike breathed out as they walked up to each other.

Eleven let out his name as they engulfed each other into a hug "Mike."

El cried as they hugged tightly. Max realised "Is that...?" Lucas and Dustin nod.

Mike pulled away, tears falling as he said "I never gave up on you. I called you every night. Every night for--"

Eleven interupted him "353 days." Mike's eyes softened "I heard."

"Why didn't you tell me you were there?" Mike asked "That you were okay?"

"Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper told him, making Mike frown and look back at him.

Y/n quickly dropped her machete as she rushed to El, hugging her tighy "Where the hell were you?"

El spoke into her shoulder "Why did you leave me for so long?"

Hopper stepped forward as Y/n pulled away "Answer the question. What the hell is this?"

"Where have you two been?" El replied, angerly.

Hopper pulled her into a hug, El refusing to let go of Y/n's hand.

That's when Mike realised "You've been hiding her. Both of you." Mike looked at Y/n "You've had her this whole time?!"

Y/n let go of Eleven's hand "Mike, listen--"

"Why would you not tell me?!" He interupted in a shout.

"Because it would be us in danger, Mike!" Y/n yelled back "Do you know how many times I wanted to tell you?! I couldn't, it would put all of us in danger! I so badly wanted to, but i couldn't!"

Mike then shouts "I don'tcare, you should have told me!" Mike points at her "You are a horrible person!"

Y/n took a step closer to Mike with narrowed eyes and an angry expression before Hopper interupted, grabbing Mike's shirt "Don't you dare speak to my daughter like that." He warned "Let's talk." He spoke angerly "Alone."

Mike and Hopper went into another room to talk. El quickly turned to Y/n "Why didn't you come back, I was alone."

Y/n knelt down to be face to face with her "I know, I know. I'm sorry. Something came up."

Everyone else watched as they hugged again. After a moment, they pulled apart and Y/n smiled widely "I love the new look, it suits you."

El smiled and looked over her shoulder at Dustin and Lucas. Y/n stood up as Eleven stepped towards them. The two instantly ran up and hugged her tightly.

"We missed you." Lucas said as the two hugged her.

"I've missed you, too."

Steve looked at Y/n, who watched her favourite people reunite. He tried to hold in a small smile, failing to do so.

"We talked about you pretty much every day." Dustin told her as they pulled away, Lucas and Dustin standing either side of Y/n, infront of El.
