October 5th, 1978

Twelve year old Y/n was in the playground at recess, sitting alone at a bench, when Allison, a girl who teasted her non-stop since she arrived at this school, walked up to her, her friend, Mary, next to her.

"Hey, Y/n." Allison laughed "I heard about Sara."

Y/n shook her head "Just leave me alone."

"It was only a matter of time. Its a shame the cancer didnt take her sooner." Allison smiled as ber friend laughed.

"Please, go away." Y/n repeated as she tears up.

"You know, I'm not even surprised what happened with your sister!" Allison said.

Y/n stood up "I said go away!" She shoved the girl on the floor before kicking her stomach hard.

Mary ran off to get someone as Y/n got down and started punching her in the face, Allison crying and pleading.

A teacher quickly ran over "Y/n! Y/n, stop it!"

She pulled Y/n off, Y/n kicking Allison's face as she got dragged away.

Y/n was sat in the chair next to the principals door as he spoke to her dad. She had a small cut on her cheek but that was about it, since Allison wasn't fighting back.

After a good few minutes, the door opened, making Y/n turn her head. The principal just sent her a look before Hopper came out.

"I hope we've come to an agreement." The principal said to Hopper as he walked away, Y/n following.

The two walked out the school, midday, and got in the car, Y/n throwing her bag by her feet.

"What happened?" He asked bluntly.

"Nothing." Y/n replied "Just start the car, i want to go home."

Hopper's face turned serious "Y/n, tell me. What happened?"

She tears up before letting out a light sob. Hopper put a hand on her thigh, comfortingly.

"Please, can we go home?" Y/n asked through tears.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Hopper asked "Who did you fight?"

"No one important. The girl whose been nagging me this whole year said something and i got angry." Y/n sighed.

Hopper sighed "Y/n, this is the fourth school you've gone to within 4 months. You get expelled again then there wont be a school you can go to."

Y/n mumbled "I could go back to Hawkins."

"What?" Hopper frowned.

"Can we just go home?" Y/n asked.

Hopper sighed "Yeah. We'll get you mom to clean--"

"No, I mean home. I mean Hawkins." Y/n told him.

"Well, you've went and seen Nancy and Jonathan a good few times, you even babysat while you were there." Hopper said.
