Tommy

Bei-Ye's eyes widened as my name hit her ears. She seemed to freeze in place, her head cocking to the side.

"Are you alright," I asked as I swallowed some more food.

Her eyes had a long distant look about them.

"T-Tomas..." she repeated, a her eyes narrowing a bit. "You name is Tomas?"

"Yeah, that's me." I smirked a bit through some dull pain. "What's wrong?" I raised an eyebrow at her. She had repeated my name about 3 times, and she was barely moving.

She didn't say anything, just kept staring.

"Bei-Ye?" I called.

No response.

"Bei-Ye!"

Nothing.

I sat up and grabbed onto her shoulders. "Rose!" I shook her back and forth.

Like a flash she seemed to come back into herself. "It-it's-it's alright." She smiled a little, "I'm fine."

"What happened?" I worried.

"N-nothing," she shook her body from side to side and smacked her face with both her hands about as hard as she could.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yeah! Of course!" She suddenly gave a small smile. I could tell she was lying...her eyes were averted from my own, she had begun twirling with her fingers, and she seemed more occupied.

"Ah-," I vocalized.

"Do you feel a bit better?" She suddenly questioned.

"Oh, yeah I guess." I smiled back at her a bit as I held up my wrapped body parts.

"Good," she stood up. "You'll be alright." She started to walk off.

"Wait!" I called. "Where are you going?"

"I can't stay a long time..." she furrowed her brow. "I have to work too." She laughed it off. "You'll be fine." She cocked her head to the side and then walked out of the room.

I wanted to scream and cry all at once. I hated being left alone, in that room. I hated myself for what I had done with Wu...it might not have been actual sex...but it was enough to make me feel dirty. I wanted to bathe, I wanted to be free...but what could I do? The room felt suffocating...and I might not have been chained, but I was in pain.

Just as I thought the world was ending, the door opened again. My body shot upward, hoping it would be someone who could free me from the endless nightmare that was the room.

As Alexander walked through the door, I felt my eyes roll and I groaned in annoyance.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I heard my voice raise a bit, signaling my annoyance.

He looked as perturbed to have to handle me as I was annoyed to see him. "Did Rose fix you up?" He asked shortly, his gaze like iron.

"Yeah," I averted my eyes.

"Good," he started to walk off.

"Wait!" I shouted before I thought.

He turned back to me. "What?"

"C-Can't you release me?" I shook my binding a bit.

"As if," he scoffed. "I was told to check on you, nothing more." He shrugged then turned away again.

"Hey!" I shouted. "Wait!" I tried to get up, but felt soreness waft through me. I felt as I cringed and seethed. "Wait!" I shouted again, but it was too late, he was already gone.

Again, I was hopelessly alone, but at least I wasn't...as tethered. I wanted to scream and cry all at once again, but it was like something in me wouldn't allow me to do so. Through the heavy curtains, I could see the sun shining...and a deep want rose within me to touch it...to feel it...the sun shining. I swung my sore body over to the edge of the bed, and let my feet hit the floor. I was barely dressed, and the old wood was cold on the soles of my feet. Powering through my various aches and pains, I managed to stand from the bed. I nearly crashed to the floor, but I grabbed at the edge of the bed, only slamming down on my knees. My lips smacked in annoyance, but I pulled myself back up and wobbled to the curtain. I grabbed onto one of them and used my other hand to pull the other a bit to the side. At once the sun shown brighter and I felt the warmth hit my face. I wondered what day it was...and if anyone missed me.

My eyes closed, and I breathed in deeply. The suns rays felt bewildering as they hit me full force. It was a good source of vitamin D if nothing else. My eyes pried open and looked forward.

My breath hitched. The street outside was slightly narrow, there were buildings across the street with what seemed to be seedy business run in them. Of course, most of the signs were in both what was probably Chinese and English.

Suddenly, I heard someone whistle and my eyes fell downward.

There, in the front of the house, was Wu and some of the others. He seemed to be listening in on their conversation with another group of men across the way. He was leaned against the fence, his arms crossed, his eyes gazing up at me. He was smirking lightly. Then he held his finger to his lips, as if he was shushing me. I could see the guns in the holsters he was hiding. The men his men were conversing with couldn't.

He smirked again at me and wagged his finger back and forth, as if saying "uh uh uh." He then pulled himself from the fence and strode a bit closer to the group.

They only talk for a few minutes when one of the group of men from across the way darted off. He didn't seem too keen on staying  around. Another man put his hands up  and slowly backed away. The third was frozen as two of Wu's men reached out and grabbed him up. The dragged him into an alley as Wu turned back to me.

He held his finger up to his lips again, just as he pulled out his gun.
