Tommy
"That wasn't so bad, huh?" Wu smiled down at me as he dried off his hair.
He towered over me as he pulled the towel from his head and tossed it on mine.
I felt like a puny wimp beside him...shivering like a leaf while I waited for a towel, unable to hide my shame.
How had my life come to this?
Being dried off by a terrifying human who towered over me...was not in any of my future plans...
I stared at him wide eyed.
"What's with you?" He asked nonchalantly as he used the towel to dry my hair and then dropped it to my lower body.
"N-nothing," I rushed out.
The image of him holding his finger to his lips as he held up that gun was blazed into my mind. Fear stood in my soul.
"Come on," he took the towel from my body and dried my hair more. "Wet hair makes you sick, you know?" He added as if we were lovers, making me uncomfortable. I cringed a bit but found it impossible to pull away. He was right in front of me, and who knew what would happen if I pulled away. "There," he beamed. "Let's get dressed."
Wu took my hand and pulled me back into the bedroom. He already had clothes ready.
"Here," he passed me some jeans, a t-shirt, and under clothes.
I dressed in silence as he pulled on, only what I would call, work out clothes. A black shirt, black comfy pants, black tennis shoes, and a black jacket.
He tossed a pair of shoes at me and I stared at them in my hands.
"What is this?" I looked up at him.
"Shoes?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Why?" I felt my breath hitch.
"So that we can leave? Duh?" He took a hold of my arm and pulled me to the bed, pushing me into a seated position.
He pushed socks on my feet and jammed the shoes on my feet.
"Where are we going?" I piped up as he tied my shoes.
"Don't worry about that," he beamed as he knotted the laces. "There!" He pulled me up from the bed. "Oh wait!" He stopped, racing to a side table. "I almost forgot about this, he rifled in a drawer and pulled out a tiny box. "Open it," he passed it to me.
"W-What is it?" I asked, afraid to open it.
"Just open it." He gestured for me to hurry up.
I gulped as I hesitantly pushed the box open. My heart seized at the sight of a necklace. The necklace was pure gold, with a pendant on it. The pendant had what looked like it was emblazoned some sort of wreath on it.
"Let me help you," he took the box from me and pulled the necklace out. "This is for you, to wear all the time." He pecked my cheek, and it took everything in me not to recoil away.
He pulled the necklace around my neck and clasped it so that the necklace hung just so, and was visible.
"Now, let's go." He continued to beam as he took my hand and led me out of the room and down the stairs.
The painted women and Bei-Ye were all sitting in a side room.
"Where Vinny?" Wu asked them.
"He went to get the car, Boss," one of them spoke up.
"Good," Wu said, "wait here." He commanded me as he walked out the front door.
"So, where are you going this fine day?" One of the women sneered at me.
"I-I-uh-I don't know." I stuttered as I spoke.
"Ugh, a stutterer, so stupid." Another sneered.
"What's that you got there on your neck?" Someone piped up.
"Let's have a look!" The one who asked where I was going stood up.
"N-n-No!" I backed away.
"Come on!" The one who called me stupid spoke. "Show us!"
Bei-Ye eyed me, silent.
"Ay!" A familiar voice sounded out, "leave him alone!"
My eyes met those of Frances, and I was unable to control myself as I leapt to hug her. "Thank you," I whispered as I pulled away.
At that moment, Wu came back. "Bebe," he called, "let's go." He took my arm, then noticed Frances. "Oh, did you need something before we left?" He asked her.
"When will you be back? For dinner?" She shielded me from the eyes of some of the painted women.
"Normal time," he answered quickly. "He will be busy today, and make sure you read your memo." He added with a wink. "Come on Bebe." He stated to pulled me toward the door.
I felt a cold sweat leak down my back. I was being taken outside...out of the house...but why? Was this a whim of his? Or was it a test? Was it a chance for him to see if I'd run away? What was he doing? Where were we going?
Everything in me told me to stay in the house, to not let him test me...I wanted at all costs to avoid having whatever thing he wanted done to me...after all, he was a terrifying human being. He stood much taller than me, was stronger than me, and was definitely much more adept at gun usage than me.
Wu pulled me out of the door and I felt at once like there were stones on my back and on my ankles. "What?" He spoke up, "do I need to carry you?"
"N-No," I forced down a stutter as I walked off of the porch.
"Vinny!" He shouted.
"Ready Boss!" He responded.
Wu didn't say anything else as he opened the door and beckoned me in the car. I felt my heart race as I climbed in. The SUV had black tinted windows and was definitely bought on a higher purchase.
"Drive." Wu stated as he slammed to for behind him.
He put his arm around me and yanked us together. He kissed my forehead and I felt my face twist. As the car sped on the road, the only things I could think of involved where we were going, how could I make my presence known, and how do I make my presence known without drawing Wu's attention to my plot?
Always in my mind was his warning..."if you run away from me, Tomas, I will hunt you and I will take you, and I will make you mine."
