Chapter 9: Raiding

As we entered the building we noticed something strange, it was empty. No guards or anything of the sort.

"Be careful" I said "This seems like a trap"

We kept going, but there was still nothing. Eventually, we got into this big open room, like a throne room for a king.

Then we heard a slow clap, and that's when Scott's father appeared.

"It's over for you, just give up," I told him.

He laughed, it was a disturbing laugh. It reminded me of those mad scientist laughs from old horror movies.

"It's far from over kid" He began, "I'd like to introduce you to someone, my lovely wife"

?!

Scott's mom appeared! The same one from the prison???

She looked at me and smirked.

"We intended to lure you here and for you to bring back our son" she stated.

"Your Son?!" Cam shouted, "You abandoned him and then you killed him!"

"Oh he is far from dead, take a look behind you"

?!

Lo and behold it was Scott, but he wasn't really him anymore, was he? He was covered with these metallic armor keeping him alive. They turned him into some kind of Cyborg.

"What is wrong with you" Sabrina yelled, "You're putting your own son through this torturous life!"

Sabrina tried to go over and talk to Scott but with his cybernetic enhancements, he punched her right back to where the rest of us were.

"Scott?" I asked.

"Now he is useful" His mother began "Now he isn't in control"

?!

This is sick! They turned their own son into a cyborg and took his self-control from him, making him some sort of puppet.

I don't know what to say or do right now, in this scenario. I never expected all this or planned for it.

Ana grabbed my hand, "Breathe, it'll be okay"

Cam Patted me on the shoulder and walked past me "Sabrina and I will take care of Scott, you just focus on the target"

So this means the mother has an ability as well, but what would that ability be???

"Watch out!" Ana yelled as she pulled me away from a flying knife, "So that's your ability huh, telekinesis"

The Blade seemed to be specially made for her since it had her name "Sarah" enveloped onto the side of it.

"Smart girl you are" Sarah Said.

The telekinesis isn't too much of a problem for me, along with the manipulation power Francis holds.

I had a flashback to when we were game planning all this, Cam made a very interesting blueprint. An earpiece, it appears that it will nullify any mental manipulation, at least with the powers.

I pulled out my scythe but as soon as I did it got pulled away from me and was put in Sarah's hands.

"You can't really use weapons on me hun" She teased.

Francis tried to fire a gun off but Ana turned to mist and knocked it out of his hands.

"Can't really use weapons on me either Sweetie" She said back.

I started laughing, I know it is a serious moment and all but that caught me so off guard.

Ana started to laugh too, honestly, it amused me more cause essentially we just laughed in their face and it really pissed them off.
