"Life is really unpredictable, we can never cross paths with fate"

I woke up with the ringing of alarm. I switched it off and sat on the bed, thinking what should do I now?

I am 21 years old, I have spent my life living in a conservative family. No! It's not like they don't love me, everyone loves me, but that conservative minds always comes in between my dreams.

I have completed my graduation a month ago in English literature honours. I have always dreamt of opening my own publishing house, but all my dreams go in vain, when my father strictly denied me saying "Itni padhai ka kya fayda, tumhe konsi koi job karni hai" and everyone agreed with him.
(Why to study this much when you don't have to do any job)

And I just like evreytime accepted their decision first because they are my elders and second, I can't do anything against whatever has been decided in my fate.

I sighed and got up from the bed and did my morning routine. It was already 8 am, so I took a quick bath and wore a plain lavender colored kurti matching it with white palazzo and white dupatta. I got ready quickly and applied some moisturizer and lip balm and went downstairs, towards the dining table and said.

"Good morning"

My mother and kakisa were arranging the table, while my dadi, father and brothers were sitting, busy in some talk.

I helped my mother and kakisa to arrange the table and sat on my seat, between my brothers Advik, he is 27 and married to Keerti bhabhi since two years, and Shashvat, he is 30 and married to Meera bhabhi since 4 years. Both my brothers have beautiful and loving bond with my bhabhis.

Currently Meera bhabhi is 9 months pregnant, that's why she remains mostly in her room, and keerti bhabhi is also with her in case she needs anything.

Everyone started eating peacefully, with some chit-chat, when my father cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention.

I looked at him and he said while glancing at me

"I think that it is the time we should talk to Rathores about marriage"

I thinned my brows in confusion and said

"Whose marriage papa"

My question was answered by dadi she said "Beta, we got your proposal from Rathores 3 years back, since you were very young at that time, we decided to talk about it until you complete your studies, and now it is the time"

I was completely astonished knowing this new information about myself.

"What!? How? I mean why was I not informed about it... and papa by talking you mean you want my answer about this marriage right?"
