Part 4 the run away

I woke up and I was surrounded by cloth like one of those fancy beds in the movies. I looked around and saw mom and Peter and another kid with blonde hair who was giving me a spoonful of some kind of pudding or something, I don't know what it is but it tastes like moms blue cookies she made. The ones with white chocolate and before I knew it my eyes were closed again.

I woke up again to see mom and Peter talking and laughing about something. Grover was standing at the corner of the room and would take a nervous glance at Peter every once in a while but he seemed a lot less scared than he was during the car ride. And my eyes closed again.

My eyes opened one more time and this time I stayed awake. I began to get up on the bed and saw Peter at the side of the bed "you know you drool when you sleep" he said and I just sat there in shock and confusion.

A second later mom slapped Peter lightly on the arm "Percy that's rude" she told him and he laughed

"What it's true, she still has drool on her cheek" Peter said I got embarrassed and wiped at my face and of course their was telling the truth and I had drool on my face

"Thanks" I said blushing at how embarrassing it was "wait I thought your name was Peter" I said confused at why mom called him Percy

"Yeah about that" he said with an embarrassed look "let me reintroduce myself" he held out his hand "hi my name is Perseus Jackson"

I backed up a little "like, the Perseus Jackson, like, The run away, who is suspected of multiple very serious crimes including murder and arson. That Perseus" I asked

"Well yes but I only intentionally committed one of those crimes" he replied

"Which one" I said nervously worried for his answer

With the most serious face I had ever seen on a person he answered "the murder of my stepfather"

My face paled to a ghastly color at his answer

"Drop it Annabeth" mom said with a serious face

"Sorry. if it makes you feel any better he is the only human I have ever killed and you could barely even call him that" Percy said trying to lighten the mood

"And what about everything else you are accused of" I ask not very reassured by his attempt at a joke

He shrugged "monster attacks"

"Oh yeah just blame all your crimes on" I do the hand quotes "monsters"

"You just woke up from being attacked by the Minotaur I think monster attacks are a great excuse" he said defensively

"Oh, I thought that was a dream" I said a shocked look on my face "but that's impossible the Minotaur is a myth how can it be real"

Percy pointed at Grover "oh yeah and so is he" with sarcasm dripping from his lips and Grover blushed for a second at being pointed out

I stared for a second before pinching myself in the arm and yelped at how hard I pinched which of course sent Percy and mom into a laughing fit

"I'm sorry Anna it's just that percy did the same thing when he woke up the second day of being here" mom said

"Second day" I almost yelled "how long have I been asleep"

"Just about three days I think" Percy said still recovering from his laughter

I sat there in silence unbelieving that I was asleep for so long "how I don't remember hitting my head that hard"

"The medics said you passed out from the stress of fighting the Minotaur" mom explained
