Wanting

In the maze of my mind, control slips away

Like a driver lost with no map to convey

He's absent, a phantom in my thoughts' array

Alone, devoid of his tender embrace

Yearning for the warmth of his gentle grace

His touch, a memory I cannot erase

His lips, a dream I chase in this lonely space

Love once bloomed, a garden so divine

In dreams, I claimed him, a love so fine

Countless reveries, a relentless line

Each time, my heart soared, a rhythm so prime

But alas, he remains beyond my grasp

In my dreams, he slips through my fingers, a gasp

A specter haunting, a love that will clasp
