As they stepped into the class, the students in class fluttered their eyes open, staring at how they walked in contrast to each other.

Amber, the girl timid as a fox, pretty as a rabbit, walked into the room behind Niko. Niko, who was as confident as a snake, lovely as a coyote, strutting in the room as he rolled his eyes at anyone who tried getting close.

There, Amber noticed a lot of people, where they all looked incredibly great. She hoped though that nothing... Bad will happen then. It was the same before too, she trusted those boys who called themselves her friends. But...

She shook her head, looking away, but soon her saddened expression shifted then to a shocked one as Niko grabbed her by her bag. She spun to look at him, eyes widened and shoulders tense. Niko glanced at her before looking back at a chair, and pointed at it. "Seats, I'll sit beside you," he pulled away, uneasy looking.

Amber sighed and sat on it, Niko then sat besides her, hanging his bag from the chair, stretching his limbs and shoulders. Amber on the other hand sat beside the wall, with a window exposed to her.

Amber noticed how Niko had already found himself friends, the people talking to him, waving. Laughing. Amber felt a shiver run down her spine as she sat, fidgeting, and tense. Somehow, seeing Niko with that many friends that could have totally satisfied his energetic personality, she felt... Invisible.

Then, she pinched her arm, grunting, "I shouldn't think about that..." She whispered to herself, looking away, she's just being insecure again. After all, he was her first ever friend. But... She's not even a great friend, who let's their parents talk nastily about their friends?..

"What are you thinking about?" Niko's voice made Amber almost jump out of her seat, and she turned to see Niko, and his other friends gasp at her. Niko having that same, furrowed, gaping mouth. He cupped his lips and slowly turned to look away, his shoulders shaking.

Amber, flustered, cupped her own, narrowing her brows and eyes. "I- I was just thinking of stuff!" She says, confused and embarrassed. "Stop laughing!" She grabbed at his shoulder, her cheeks pinkish.

NIKO

That was cute, he thought, trying to resist the urge to tease her on the spot or use sarcasm on her. But too bad, she'd think it to be serious.. He feels her hand on his shoulder and he turned, pulling his hand away.

"Wha- what? I wasn't, at all," he smiled,  peeling her fingers off his shoulders, shrugging it off. He glared at the others once he realized they were staring and moving close, and off they went.

AMBER

He was definitely lying, she forced herself to look at him, glaring into his eyes. But what she noticed the most was his hand peeking off her fingers, and his shoulders shrugging it off. For a moment, his smiling, casual face was... Frustration. She froze, and felt as if her whole world darkened. He's uncomfortable with me.

She moved away quick, pulling at her wrist, her shoulders high and raised. "So- sorry," she whispered, she did something wrong, she repeated in her mind, she's too comfortable, she insulted to herself.

"What?" He whispered, surprised. Amber glanced only briefly, seeing his shocked, and confused face. "Hey, I didn't mean—" he paused, and looked away. His chin and lips cupped by his palm, his elbow rested on the table.
