Dear (y/n)

I had waited long enough to realize the someone you were with. I'm glad you have that someone, but maybe there'll be someone else even better than her and him.
She's sweet but sour, he's gentle but bland. See the difference? An unglazed cinnamon roll is no better than a lemon cake. But let's switch the roles and see who's more of your interest, love.

Sincerely..

It's odd how they thought of him being bland. I think he's decent, and atleast quite sweet and kind. Gloria leans back against the armchair and chuckles.

"People have their own perception of others, dear. They might not see the true personality of him yet." She replied to my rant about my secret admirer. I came to her apartment to get myself prepared for the interview later in an hour, but I ended up ranting instead.

I nod before checking the time, only to realize it's within minutes.

"Crap! Sorry I gotta go." Getting up from the couch, followed my Gloria quickly going to open the door for me.

"Alrighty dear, hope you do good in the interview. Remember, everyone will be watching." She points two fingers at her own eyes and turns it to face mine, signifying that she'll be watching as well. I laugh nervously, pretending that she could just be joking.

"I will I will. I'll see you around!" I smile at her and run off down the corridor.

"Careful! The floor in that area are still wet." Her words echo along with me as I ran before turning a corner, only to be met with a floor sign as I slip.

The eleveator door opens and I walk out, pressing my palm against my temple from the fall. As I enter the lobby, I spot the crew around the area setting up the interview place. There's one cameraman sitting on a chair, adjusting their camera, then there's one testing the mics. But unfortunately Izaak is nowhere to be seen whatsoever. I scratch the back of my head as I glance around looking to him.

"Hello, Mx.(y/n)!" A loud voice speaks from behind, causing me to yelp and turn around. There's Izaak, finally, approaching me with a wide grin.

"Izaak, I've been looking for you." I cross my arms and chuckle. "I'm not late, am I?" He stops a good distance away from me as I said that and puts his hands in his pockets, leaning on one leg as well.

"Well.." He pauses to look down at his watch then looks back up at me. "You're right on time fortunately." He nods at me as I let out a breath of relief.

"Phew thanks. Then the interview is in a bit, right?" I ask him and turns back to look at the crew.

"Mhm. And you'll be the guest!" He speaks in his reporter voice and points an imaginary mic at me. It's his usual habit that amuses me all the time. I nod, fidgeting with my fingers a bit.

"Mx.(y/n), you seem quite nervous." He tilts his head, staring at me with an uncertain look as he rubs his chin. I chuckle, a fake one.

"Yeah, it's just the heat." I lie while I tug my collar a bit. A part of it is true as it's the summer season. But the lie I made up may not convince him immediately, yet he shrugs it off then speaks in his reporter voice once again. Not forgetting about the imaginary mic.
