TIMEKSIP 6 DAYS
"Guys?"
Minji spoke up as she walked alongside Hyein and Haerin down a street, "yes?"
"There's a whole bunch of monsters popping up all of a sudden. There's two outbreaks down back south past Dani's place, both are a street away from each other. I think from what the news articles are saying they're a whole bunch of lizalfos attacking some shops. There's one more outbreak more north of where you guys are right now, there's no details on what type of monsters but I think they're attacking some kids. I can send the nearby addresses to your phones."
Minji glanced over at the other two, "can you guys take the lizalfos? I won't be effective with them since I can't get too close with my spear."
Hyein nodded, Haerin a little reluctant to leave Minji by herself.
"Will you be okay?"
Minji nodded, "I'll be okay, go, we have our mics anyways if we need to communicate."
"Stay safe guys, all of you."
The two maknaes began to head back from where they came from, leaving Minji to start jogging alone as she checked her phone now and then to see if she was going the right way.
Something in the back of her mind was bothering her as she headed to the monster outbreak, but she couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was.
"Sudden outbreaks... and more than one too."
Minji kept her focus on the destination, narrowing her eyes, 'he must be close to breaking free.'
No one was outside during New Years Eve, even the people that were driving to work had dwindled down to none.
A couple people Minji passed by had called out to her to go home, but she ignored them.
She knew what she was doing.
Soon enough, she had arrived at the area Hanni sent her, hearing a commotion inside a park.
A hoard of bokoblins surrounded a group of teenagers at the playground, some of the kids climbing up in hopes to avoid the monsters.
Minji put on her black surgical mask before summoning her spear, and she began to run towards them, aiming her spear before throwing it, instantly making one of the bokoblins turn to ash.
The spear disappeared before reforming back into her hand, the hoard screeching but none of them reaching for the horn they had at their hips to call for backup.
'Weird...'
Minji easily defeated the hoard of bokoblins one by one, none of them able to touch her from her weapon's long reach.
"You guys okay? They're all gone."
One of the teenagers nodded as Minji unsummoned her spear.
Minji warily looked around as the teenagers all climbed down the playground.
"Do you all live nearby? It's dangerous to be out at this... time..."
The girl stared at the teenagers weirdly, seeing that they all had the same, bulky necklace of a skull.
"What's with those necklaces?"
None of them spoke.
"Are... you guys okay?"
Minji's eyes widened as one of the teenagers ran at her, the boy pulling at the necklace around his neck.
And as the string snapped, he turned into a bokoblin.
