TIMESKIP 2 WEEKS...

"I hate this time of year."

"As much or more than you hate February?"

Haerin kept looking at the ground to avoid seeing homecoming posters and students asking each other to the dance as cringy as possible.

"Just as much."

Hanni stopped Haerin from walking, "Haerin."

"What?"

"Kang Haerin."

Haerin stared at her weirdly, "mwo?"

"Go to hoco this year."

The cat scrunched up her face, "ew no, go with Minji."

"She's going! Come on Haerinnnn it's my last year, and it's also the first and last one for Dani and Minji too. Hyein's coming as well."

"Okay and? Have fun."

"Pleaseeee."

"No."

"Dani's going."

"Yeah you already told me, and you guys were quite literally talking about it until twelve AM last night in the groupchat."

"So you do look at the groupchat!"

Haerin rolled her eyes, continuing her walk down the hall to her first class, "I'm not going."

"What if Dani asked you to go? You're gonna say no to her?"

The cat abruptly stopped in front of her class, "..."

Hanni quickly stopped to not bump into her, "Haerin?"

"Tickets are already sold out, no? Isn't the dance like- three days from now."

"Yeah, it's three days from now, and no, they're still selling tickets."

"What the hell would I even wear."

"We can go shopping together!"

From Haerin's scrunched up face, Hanni rolled her eyes.

"Or you can borrow something, I know dresses aren't your thing, I'm sure they'll be fine with you wearing a nice button-up and pants."

Haerin sighed, "I'll only go if Danielle asks me to go."

Hanni grinned, her smile turning mischievous as Haerin walked into her classroom.

"Sure thing~"

Haerin slid into her seat in math, Danielle quickly turning around to give her a small wave across the room which the younger girl returned before the teacher had started class.

The cat glanced over at her phone, seeing it light up while people around her were talking about the problem they were doing, which the girl had already finished.

Seeing that the teacher was talking to a group of students asking questions, she picked up her phone.
