I opened my eyes and quickly shut them as the sunlight shone upon my face.
I opened them again, slower this time and gently lifted my head to see Duke standing shirtless on the balcony smoking a blunt.
All the memories of last night flowed in. I really don't know what to do with myself, I can't stop thinking about the outcomes with Tyreek.
My baby daddy turned around to check up on me and was surprised to see that I was up.
"Good morning" he licked his lips slowly ashing out the blunt before coming back inside. "Here" he handed me a plan b and a cup of water.
"Thank you" I said putting the pill to my mouth for him to see, then quickly putting it under the pillow before downing the water.
"How you feeling?"
"I should be asking you that" I tilted my head at him. "I don't think i've ever seen you cry"
"Yea..." he played with his hair uncomfortably. "Don't tell nobody or imma shoot you."
I laughed a little.
"You can be vulnerable with me, I won't use it against you" I smiled small then decided to change the topic. "Where's your mom?"
"Ion know..." he scratched his head. "I think she gotta hotel, imma have to ask Wooda"
I nodded picking up my phone and checking the time as well as my feed to see that June done told the whole world about what happened at the mall between her and Hailey.
I'm too grown for all this drama stuff.
"Do you think she'll like me?" I asked kinda nervous to meet the creator of this man.
He had a thoughtful look on his face before he responded. "She will because I love you, the only baby momma she'on like was Niki and she's dead."

I sighed.

"Mhm." I replied not believing any words that came out of his mouth. Although... he hasn't been toxic towards me from when I came here. "What's the plan for today?"
"Go Ihop, meet my momma at the hospital then I gotta prepare for Hailey's court case tomorrow. I refuse to let that bitch have a good life Jayla, ion wanna hear nun."
I mugged him and got off the bed.
