Arushi

I had nowhere else to go. And it's weird to say yes for being alone in a room with a guy of same as your age, but I knew I can trust Akshat with it.

I know he's nowhere close to planning for diminishing my trust on him. He drove me to his house on his motorbike.

We did got a few stares but I didn't wanted to bother them so I kept my stare on my mobile phone.

After around 20 minutes of drive, we reached I got down and he parked his bike in the basement of the building.

He walked towards the lift and I followed him.

There's was silence other than the a little screeching noise of the lift.

I looked towards my left and saw him leaning with his bicep on the cold metal, to the opposite side from me, after pressing the 7th floor.

When the doors opened for the 7th floor, I saw a woman who was in her forties standing outside.

She looked between us both and before I could think much, Akshat spoke "She's a friend."

The lady raised one brow in amazement and the looked at me for a microsecond. I lowered my gaze and heard her chuckle.

"Okay, see you Akshat." She said as Akshat stepped out, I followed him and stepped out after him.

The lady smiled and entered the lift. Akshat looked at me and grinned.

I rolled my eyes and started walking ahead.

"Wrong way." I heard him call from behind and I turned to look at him and saw him walking on the opposite side.

I rolled my eyes and started following him.

I need to stop rolling my eyes!

He stopped at the door numbered as 706 and removed the key from his pocket, unlocked the door and held it open for me.

I stepped in, sighed and turned around as he closed the door behind him.

He placed the keys on the table besides the door and smiled at me.

"Make yourself comfortable." He said and point me to sit on the sofa.

I took a seat and placed my bag besides my legs on the floor.

"Water?" He asked.

"No, thanks." I said.

He hummed before saying, "I'll be back in a few minutes."

And started walking towards his room which was to the opposite right of the sofa.

I looked at his back as he walked away and closed the door before disappearing inside. Meanwhile, I took a look around.

The small hallway from the door to the hall is what I instantly liked. The sofa was placed opposite to the open kitchen and to the left of kitchen was his room.

I suppose this building to be a of a government quarter as such one hall-bedroom was somewhat same as of one of my aunt's.

I was just admiring the various frames placed on the table in front of the sofa, but got disturbed by a phone ringing, I noticed it wasn't mine.

I waited but he didn't came out. The ringing stopped but it rang again.

I got up after sighing and call him out "Akshat your phone is ringing, maybe it's urgent."

"Can you please check the caller ID?" He called out from inside. "It's Iceburg..." I laughed out a strange breath.

He quickly opened the door and came out.
