Arushi

It was a holiday and I was laying on my bed listening to music and feeling the lyrics with my eyes closed.

A beep on my mobile disturbed my rythm but I didn't mind that since I was in a good mood.

A few minutes later, again a beep disturbed my track. I took my phone and saw 2 messages from an unknown number.

I clicked on the message and realised it was Akshat. A small effortless smile appeared on my face knowing it was him.

Two weeks passed since I had given him my number but he didn't text.

Though we met almost everyday in the past weeks and didn't miss to leave the class together.

We walk out of the college and part our ways after wishing goodbyes.

I saw his texts which were: 'Hey.... Akshat this side. I wanted the notes of Prof. Matthew, can you bring your notes tommorow? Please?'

I replied with an okay and he sent a smiley emoji.

I continued my listening to my music and I was disturbed again but another notification beep.

I checked my screen to notice a mail from unknown source. I open the mail and found a photo of some flight's ticket which were from Indore to Seattle.

Do you know someone from there?

No I don't.

I guess that the mail was mistakenly sent to me.

I reported the mail and deleted it instantly. I didn't let that bother me anymore.

I spent the day in my room, going out just for lunch and dinner.

Before calling it a night, I didn't forget to keep the notes Akshat asked me to get.

Akshat

Monday mornings are always lazy. I had to get off my bed and go to college.

I heard my alarm ringing again and I decided to finally get my ass off the bed.

I checked the time according to which, if I didn't make it out of the door in 15, I'll be late, and I won't afford to get late and make my reputation go down in front of my gir- I mean Arushi.

I kept thinking about her while doing my morning routine.

And that's not even enough. I can think about her the whole freaking day. Her charm never disappoints me. She is wholesome in herself.

The morning I gave my sweater to her, it was the first time I saw her so close.

Her eyes, dark brown with golden flecks are so innocent, though innocent isn't a word for someone who reads dark romance.

I saw some romance books with her that's the reason I asked her to join me in the library but I didn't knew her craze for books untill I saw those severals cards with her.

I had my eyes on her from the day one when I entered the classroom and saw her sitting somewhere in the middle benches, reading a book.

I did notice her most of the days sitting alone, consumed by her books. She didn't talked to anyone untill unless someone approached her.

I didn't even expected her to talk to me or accepting my friendship, but she did. My keenness to know her increased ever since then.

Driving myself on my motorbike to the college, I parked my motorbike and started to walk in the direction of my classroom.
