Aura's P.O.V

As the shock of Jungwon's unexpected assault began to subside, I met his gaze with a mix of confusion and apprehension. "Had to be sure of what?!" Sunghoon demanded, his voice tinged with frustration and fury as he pressed his arm firmly against Jungwon's chest, keeping him pinned against the wall.

With an exasperated roll of his eyes, Jungwon swiftly pushes Sunghoon away. "Let go," he snaps, straightening his shirt with a sigh before turning his attention back to me. "I needed to confirm the truth," he explains, his gaze meeting mine as my eyebrows knit together in confusion.

Heeseung subtly shifted his stance by the fireplace, raising a quizzical eyebrow in Jungwon's direction. "And?" he inquired, his curiosity piqued, prompting an angry glare from Sunghoon who clearly disapproved of indulging Jungwon's actions.

"It's true, she has no further memories," Jungwon declared with a solemn nod, his words carrying a weight of finality. I remained fixated on him, my gaze shifting between curiosity and disbelief, still reeling from the revelation.

"How did you do that?" I inquired, utterly bewildered by his sudden display of an unexpected ability.

"Most vampires possess a unique gift, and that's mine," he replied coolly, offering a straightforward explanation to my query. My eyes widened as I glanced around at the others.

"Do all of you..." my disbelief was evident in my soft muttering as I gazed at each of them in turn, trying to comprehend the breadth of their abilities. They all nodded slowly in response, confirming my suspicions without uttering a single word. A part of me wondered if I possessed an ability myself, but I quickly dismissed those thoughts, realizing that it wasn't important at the moment. I shook my head to clear my mind, determined to stay focused on the task at hand.

"Why does my presence here feel so surreal?" I questioned, my gaze sweeping over each of them, lingering on Sunghoon's. "You're convinced I'm this 'Aura,' yet Jay remains skeptical, and you," I addressed Jungwon, a note of reproach in my tone, "felt the need to intrude into my mind." I could sense Jungwon's unease at my words, a flicker of guilt crossing his features. "There's something you're not telling me," I asserted, returning my focus to Sunghoon. For some inexplicable reason, I looked to him for honesty above all, but his head shook dismissively in response.

"That's all for now," he announced, making his way back to me. Surprisingly, I found myself crossing my arms in a stubborn gesture, unwilling to relent.

"What? No, I need more answers," I insisted desperately, my gaze darting between him and the others. Niki and Sunoo conspicuously avoided meeting my eyes, silently concurring that the conversation had reached its limit.

"Aura," Sunghoon's voice was a gentle caress as he came to a halt before me, uttering my name with that same tender inflection that hasn't yet failed to soothe my nerves. His presence alone offered a sense of security and tranquility, wrapping around me like a protective shield. "There is so much to absorb, it be overwhelming to delved into it all right now," he continued softly, his words like a comforting embrace. "Trust me," he implored, his hand coming to rest gently on my shoulder, "you'll have your answers soon enough, just not in this moment."

"He's right, Noona," Sunoo interjected with a wistful smile, but my response was a frustrated shake of the head.

"Do you expect me to simply sit idly by with this tangled mess in my mind?" I challenged them, the frustration evident in my voice. "I don't even know who I am!" I exclaimed, feeling the sting of tears threatening to spill from my eyes.

"Hey," Sunghoon's voice was a gentle breeze as he placed his other hand on my second shoulder, bending down to meet my eye level. "Just trust me, alright?" His soft smile radiated warmth, momentarily overshadowing my frustration. Despite my inner turmoil, I found myself yielding to his comforting presence. With a quiet sniffle, I composed myself, wordlessly conveying my reluctant cooperation through the silent language of my eyes.
