Aura's P.O.V
A frenzy of searing red and orange flames engulfs my mind as I am consumed by a terrifying vision of being trapped inside a burning building.
Despite my frantic efforts, the windowpane remains unyielding to my pounding fists as I scream for someone - anyone - to save me.
Suddenly, Sunghoon's face appears outside the window, a look of sheer horror etched across his features. His eyes lock with mine, flickering with a mix of fear and desperation as he strives to find a way to reach me.
But the flames are relentless, their intense heat scorching his skin as he throws himself against the wooden door, grunting in agony with each blow. Suddenly, I'm shocked to see Jay appear, sharing in Sunghoon's terror and screaming my name in a frantic chorus of desperation. Their faces, contorted with anguish, are etched into my mind as they struggle against the inferno.
As the fire rages fiercer, Sunghoon's once-strong arm and half of his face become engulfed in flames, tears streaming down his cheeks in a heart-wrenching display of desperation. Despite his pain, his determination to rescue me remains unwavering.
As it became terrifyingly evident that nothing could be done, Heeseung rushes to their side, joining Jay in a sudden desperate attempt to pull Sunghoon away from the burning building. But Sunghoon's strength and resolve are formidable, his screams echoing in the night as he fights against their grasp.
Then, Jake appears, adding his strength to the struggle as they finally manage to drag Sunghoon away from the inferno. His anguished cries fill the air as they pull him to safety, leaving me alone in the consuming flames.
I jolted awake, the vivid memory of flames burning in my consciousness like a relentless nightmare. With a sharp inhale, I sat up, wincing as the midday sun flooded the room with its blinding light.
My breath came in rapid bursts, my heart pounding against my chest as I grappled with the unsettling dream. Was it just a product of my imagination, or a buried memory clawing its way to the surface?
Sunghoon's face loomed in my mind, etched with an expression of sheer terror as he fought desperately to rescue me from the engulfing inferno. The anguish in his eyes tugged at my heartstrings, leaving a deep ache in my chest at the mere thought of the pain he endured.
And then there was Jay, his known cold demeanor replaced drastically in my dream, seeming genuinely desperate to rescue me, a look of deeply rooted emotions swirly in his eyes as they met mine amidst those burning flames.
I pressed my fingertips against my temple, willing the remnants of the dream to dissipate like smoke in the wind. But no matter how hard I tried to convince myself it was just a figment of my imagination, a nagging feeling gnawed at the edges of my mind, whispering that it was something more.
With a sigh, I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, the cool touch of the hardwood floor grounding me in reality. The exact time eluded me, but the parched sensation in my throat urged me to seek out refreshment.
Pushing myself up from the bed, I moved with tentative steps towards the door, my bare feet padding softly against the polished wood beneath me. As I stepped out of the bedroom, the heavy wooden door creaked softly behind me, shrouding the corridor in a dim, mysterious ambiance. Sunlight filtered through the closed curtains, casting faint shadows on the polished floorboards beneath my feet.
I couldn't help but wonder why the mansion was always cloaked in semi-darkness, as if it were embracing its own eerie charm. I trailed my fingers along the cold, stone walls, the ancient architecture whispering tales of centuries past. Each step echoed faintly in the quiet hallway, the only sound punctuating the stillness of the mansion.
