Aura's P.O.V
The sound of small bare feet echoes across the cold floor, and I realize that it's me, as a young girl. I navigate through somewhat familiar hallways with cautious steps, nervously looking around to avoid being caught.
I'm wearing a long and ragged night gown that almost touches the floor as I tiptoe towards a large door. My small hand reaches out to grasp the doorknob, twisting it open slowly, and peaking my head through the crack.
I push the door open and find myself facing a long and narrow room. Along one wall, a row of twin beds stands, their shapes barely visible in the darkness due to the sleeping children occupying them.
Although it feels as if I'm watching everything from above, I am conscious of the fact that the little girl in this memory is me, with my long dark hair and familiar freckle on the tip of my nose.
With hesitant steps, I make my way into the room, shutting the door gently behind me. My eyes scan the silhouettes of sleeping children before landing on a solitary bed. This is where I head, walking straight towards it without making any noise.
"Hoon-ah," my small voice squeaked quietly as I shook the figure lying in the bed. "I had a nightmare again."
The figure weakly rolled over, and even though we were only around eight or nine, I could recognize Sunghoon immediately.
But something was off; his young and baby-like face was drenched in sweat, and he seemed to be trembling. I let out a worried gasp as I pressed my little hand to his forehead, feeling the heat radiating off him.
The sight of him in such a state is concerning, and I can't help but feel alarmed. "Aura, I don't feel good," He whined with a weak voice, before coughing a bit.
Feeling increasingly concerned about Sunghoon's health, little me seems worried and unsure of what to do.
"I... I'll be right back," I assure him before quietly slipping out of the room and into the hallway. As I make my way to the nearest bathroom, I can hear my younger self's anxious thoughts.
All the caretakers of the orphanage would be asleep at this time and waking them up might lead to punishment if they discovered that I had been inside the boy's ward. With these thoughts gnawing at my mind, I move forward with caution, trying my best not to make any noise.
I grab a towel and soak it in cold water before making my way back to Sunghoon's bed with haste.
As I arrive, he weakly calls out my name, my heart tugs at the sight of him in such a state, and without hesitation, I climb into the bed beside him.
I make sure that he is lying on his back before placing the cool and damp towel on his overheating forehead, the contact seeming to bring him some relief.
"Shh, Hoon-ah," I whisper, rubbing his head gently. "I'll take care of you, I promise." His eyebrows furrow in pain as he coughs again, but nods softly.
For the rest of the night, I stay by his side, gently caressing his hair until he finally falls asleep. Only then do I allow myself to succumb to slumber soon after.

"Noona?" I am gently shaken awake by a younger voice calling out. As I sit up beside Sunghoon, who is still asleep but looking much better than before, I peer towards the side of the bed to find a cute baby-faced boy staring back at me. It's Sunoo, who must be around six or seven years old.
With a jolt, I realize that the sun is beginning to rise and that I've been here all night.
"Noona, what are you doing here?" Sunoo questions me, and I look at him with wide eyes.
