As Vyn commanded we continued in our way. The path in the mountains was always the same, whether it was jumping down small stone cliffs or sneaking around rock walls to be careful not to slip our feet. Whichever rocky path we used, none of them were safe. We kept our pace and silence so as not to draw unfavorable attention to ourselves.

After a few hours of travel, which was fortunately undisturbed, we arrived at a steep cliff. It could have been several meters long, and there was another, even larger precipice next to it. I wanted to ask Vyn what we were going to do.

My gaze turned to Vyn. Before I could ask him anything, Vyn jumped down and slid down on the soles of his shoes. With a few nimble movements and perfect coordination of his body, he rode down the first cliff without injury or problem. I swallowed hard, because now it was my turn. Unlike him, I didn't have the perfect coordination and posture.

"Vyn i don't think I can." I yelled down at him. Meanwhile, I began to look around me. I tried to find some other way down. There had to be some other solution. This would be suicide.

Apart from a few rocks lying on the ground and small shoots of withered grass, there was nothing else around me. I looked again at Vyn standing at the foot of the cliff. Fear was reflected in my eyes. His eyebrows furrowed as he was thinking about something. His eyes darkeened. I could see the dangerous glint in them. What the hell was his plan now?!

"Leya listen to me now! You survived lycans. You, mare mortal somehow got from human world here in Ambrose. You survived the creations of banshee twice! You made deal with kinf¨g Theon himself without getting imprisoned. You fought and won against driscoll with nothing more but a mare dagger. We are walking for days with minimum of rest to a unknown danger. Do not try to tell me a simple cliff can stop you now?! Are you that weak?!"

His disgusted voice was loud enough for me to hear clearly. His last words sent a wave of anger through me. My eyes darkened with anger not on Vyn but myself. Vyn was right. I've done so much that I can't be stopped by a rocky cliff. I was ready to beat his ass as fast as I will get down for his words.

I walked to the edge looking down at Vyn with a grin. "Watch me!" I hissed sharply with dangerous grin stretching over my lips.

I put my first foot on the crumbling gravel and sand surface. Right at the beginning it almost went down the damn cliff because it was so hard to keep my balance when the ground just crumbled under my feet the moment I touched it, but I kept my balance after a little tossing. With a deep exhale, I pushed off and everything sped up. My soles slid down the slope at a brisk speed. Even my hair, braided in a long braid, could no longer withstand the resistance of the wind while i was going down. My long black springs blazed in the wind behind me like a veil as my body passed by Vyn. I wasn't able to stop. I heard vyn's voice behinf me and then a sound of the gravel rolling down the surface.

Panic began to grow in me. My balance got worse and worse. When I began to think the worst, and my legs began to give up on me, red curls flickered in my peripheral vision. Vyn! He was just a moment behind me.

"Hold yourself straight! Don't lose balance! We will have soft landing!" He yelled while smirking at me crouching slightly to go faster. I nodded quickly. My body tightened in an instant, and I was right behind Vyn.

We drove around rocky outcroppings, through which we successfully missed. The adrenaline in my veins was flowing at full speed. When we reached the end, our feet separated from the gravel surface. For a moment I could feel that I was floating, that underneath me is not solid ground. My heart was racing. I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest at any moment. My head had no time for fear.

My heart didn't calm down even after my body landed safely in a pile of dry grass just a moment after my feet left the gravel surface. I was lying there next to Vyn, who was breathing as fast as I was. I turned my face, which was still radiating with amazement and adrenaline, to him. My cheeks still had that pink tint on them that started to slowly fade away. I was still breathing rapidly, but I had calmed down a bit.
