Upon realizing what the master intended to do, Xu Xuancao broke out in a cold sweat.

A small white figure suddenly jumped out and fiercely bit down on Yun Yu’s mouth, revealing sharp teeth.

“Ah…” Yun Yu felt a pang of pain on his lips. He discovered that it was a small white snake that had bitten him. What shocked him even more was that his disciple had woken up at some point.

Did she overhear his conversation with Ling Huwei? Does she know about his impure thoughts?

Yun Yu wiped the blood from his lips, hiding his inner embarrassment. He quickly regained his composure as a master and pointed at the small white snake, asking, “Where did this snake come from?”

Xu Xuancao held her child tightly in her arms, protecting him.

“Don’t touch him!” Xu Xuancao hoarsely said, using her elbow to block his touch.

At that moment, the sound of an alarm bell rang in the distance, echoing through the sky.

A disciple outside shouted in alarm, “Master! Someone is trying to break into Guiyun Sect!”

Yun Yu realized who was coming and his heart trembled. He withdrew his hand and warned Xu Xuancao, “Wait here for me to come back. Don’t go anywhere.”

Before leaving, he added an extra layer of restrictions outside the room.

Xu Xuancao breathed a sigh of relief and picked up the snake baby. “Little White, is it your father?”

The small white snake seemed to sense something and became restless, sliding around in its mother’s sleeve.

Xu Xuancao temporarily lost her magical powers and couldn’t directly break the restrictions, but she didn’t want to sit idly by.

She placed the snake baby in a soft nest and collected yellow talisman paper and an ink brush in her room. She began drawing a talisman paper to break the restrictions.

It took a lot of time to unlock the restrictions. Xu Xuancao bit her lip anxiously and looked out the window.

Outside the Taoist temple, it was pitch black with flashes of lightning and thunder.

In the sky, a white figure and a blue figure floated above the clouds split by lightning.

Her eyes became hot, and across the vast distance, she called out to the white figure, “Husband…”

Yun Yu flew to a high slope and looked into the distance.

“It’s really him.” Yun Yu furrowed his brow and shouted to the disciples below, “Activate the defense formation!”

To resist the invasion, Yun Yu had set up a defensive formation hundreds of years ago, strengthening it every five years. It was virtually indestructible.

In the high altitude, A Qing sneezed from the cold wind and glanced at the white figure beside him, feeling a chill in his heart.

Even during the Immortal-Demon War five hundred years ago, he had never seen his brother in such a state.

The current Bai Sijin had unleashed his demonic aura to the fullest. His vertical pupils glowed crimson, his killing intent surged, and he exuded a terrifying aura, as if he could destroy heaven and earth at any moment.

His inner world was even more turbulent than the raging storm outside.

They had been separated for a year, and it was not easy for him to confide his true feelings. In return, she wholeheartedly accompanied him, and they even had a lively and adorable child. Yet, all of this was torn apart by her so-called master.

She was his wife, and she belonged to him alone!

Every part of his body was in pain, and he just wanted to tear down all the obstacles.

Today would undoubtedly be a great battle, destined for rivers of blood and a field littered with corpses.

A Qing timidly said, “Brother, they’ve set up a defensive formation.”

“Then we’ll break through forcefully!”

Bai Sijin swooped down, his figure graceful like a cloud and crane, heading towards the golden barrier.

His white boots landed on a tree branch. He closed his eyes tightly, unmoving, while his black hair swayed in the wind around his waist.

Inside the wall, hundreds of disciples from Guiyun Sect surrounded it, wielding dusters or talisman papers, releasing their meager magical power to strengthen the barrier.

A Qing followed and descended, observing Bai Sijin’s focused state. Taking matters into his own hands, he swung his sword towards the barrier.

As soon as the sword touched the barrier, A Qing was bounced back like a ball.

“Damn, it’s so powerful!” A Qing gritted his teeth in pain and was about to give up.

When he turned around, he noticed a dark tide surging from the mountain stream behind him, rushing and spreading across the lush green grass, gradually accumulating within the Taoist temple. The water swiftly surrounded Guiyun Sect from all sides.

A sense of dread filled A Qing’s heart. He heard the water flowing downward but never expected that his brother would use his magic to redirect a lake to the mountaintop.

Bai Sijin suddenly opened his eyes and shouted, “Rise!”

The black water surged like towering waves, resembling a behemoth, rushing to devour Guiyun Sect…
