Chapter 7: Results

Author POV

Yoruichi was rushed to the Operating Room as soon as they got to the hospital. Her grip on Shinichiro's hand fell limp right before she was carted in making him fear for the worse.

Emma and Manasaku arrived shortly after Mikey called them both as the Sano family waited anxiously outside the operating room.

"I should of been more careful dammit..." Shinichiro growled.

"What happened Shinichiro. What made my granddaughter in that state.." Manasaku asked and Shinichiro frustrated swept his hair back.

"I saw Kazutora...and Baji..did they have something to do with Nee-chan's state?" Mikey asked his older brother.

"It was a freak accident....they didn't mean her any harm. Yoru...Yoru shielded me from Kazutora's blow...and then her head and arm...the bleeding just didn't stop no matter how hard I tried!" Shinichiro sobbed and Mikey pursed his lips.

"Is Nee-chan gonna die...like mommy.." Emma muttered sadly. Shinichiro wiped his tears and patted Emma's head.

"Of course not Emma..Yoru..Yoru is the strongest person I know." Shinichiro reassured Emma.

"Yeah! Nee-chan is gonna be just fine Emma!" Mikey nodded.

The operation room light turned off and the Sano's hearts dropped. After a long silence the doctor exited the room taking his gloves off.

Emma fiddled her toes.

Shinichiro gulped standing up.

Manjiro looked at the ground waiting to hear the news.

Manasaku cleared his throat. "Well..doctor how..is she..?" He asked and the Doctor sighed.

".....

We managed to save her life. The wound on her arm will leave a scar, otherwise the injury to her head will heal with time."

They all let out a sigh of relief.

"Umm..is there a mr..Manjiro Sano?" The doctor asked and Mikey stood up.

"That's me."

"Good, we will need to take some of your blood to assist in her healing process so please follow me this way, and possibly his guardian as well." The doctor said. Mikey nodded and Manasaku followed him and the doctor to another room.

Shinichiro let out a long sigh of relief. "Thank god...fucking idiot...."

Emma sobbed tears of Joy and Shinichiro comforted her for her crying session. He was just relieved Yoruichi..didn't have to die.

Yoru POV

Groggily...I winced opening my eyes...the room was white..outside..it was daytime?
Fuck the last thing I remembered....oh yeah I was at Shin's shop...robbers...keisuke and Kazutora...
I groaned I can't, it hurts to use my brain right now looking at my left side I was hooked up to an IV and a blood bag.
Looking to the right I saw...a sleeping Shinichiro. He had his legs and arms crossed snoring softly in the chair.

Must of stayed to watch me overnight...I turned to my side and struggled...but I managed to sit up. I couldn't feel my left arm, must of been given pain killers since it was numb. I poked Shin's cheek a couple times and he swatted my hand away.

"Stop it....mmm...wait.. YORU!" Shin sobbed hugging me tighter than you should hug a patient.

"Ow ow ow! Calm down!" I pushed him off and he chuckled.
