"King Bruce!" Called out a man, rushing through a set of iron doors into a throne room, full of riches and unecessary soft carpets.
"What is it" Said the King, having his back turned and watching out a big thick window glass.
"I-.." The man paused trying to catch his breath.
"I've bad news your highness." He continued throughout his huffs.
"Bad news? Since when are there ever bad news in this quiet piece of land. Well, except for missing poor people." He says nonchalantly. Still watching the breathtaking view out the window. The castle was hidden away on a mountain bestowing a valley of woodland, and a seaside in the middle.
"There has been a annihilation down by one of the villages your majesty." He says in a distraught tone.
"Hm. Is that so? Interesting. Tell me more." He says as he finally turns to face the short man.
"Well, everyone is dead. The whole Town is the last piece of shit. Blood is everywhere. Bodies and parts scattered all over the place. Some houses rumaged through. And the smell..." He explained, sounding utterly disgusted by the thought.
"Really? Huh. Any suspicions on who or what caused this?" Says the King with a raised eyebrow. Now this seemed to of caught his attention.
"Well we aren't sure yet. But our men have found wolf footprints." He says.
The King's face lit up at that. And he began thinking deeply, as a small smirk formed on his face.
"A wolf you say? We haven't seen one of those in ages. Are you sure it's a wolf's print?" He says, as the grimming smirk still remained on his face.
"Yes. One of our finest hunters took a look at it and confirmed it your highness." The guy says.
"Very well then. Get Mr Sprout please. I think we might need to catch ourselves a wolf." Orders the King as he turns back around to face the view behind his throne.
"Of course your highness." Says the young lad and quickly scatters away and out the throne room. Shutting the heavy doors shut behind him.
"Don't you worry my little wolf. You'll be home very soon." He says, while laughing menacingly.
We watched the innocent village bustle about while we hid in thrush nearby.
It was raining heavily now. And only a few people, mostly men, were out taking care of only the necessary things.
I smirk as I saw one of them sit down on a nearby log, while checking his phone.
"Hunter, listen closely" I began to say as his ears perked up at my voice.
"You'll turn back human, and we'll go in there as a couple saying we're lost and are in desperate need of shelter." I whispered to him.
He shook his head and frowned at my plan.
"I know it's a typical idea, but I want to do this the stealthy way. Besides, what would be the fun of it if we gave them a fast death. I've a better idea." I say as I laugh quietly, while he looked at me with a bewildered look.
He morphed back to human as he whimpered. The man on the log infront of us noticing a sound and looked around him.
"Hello? Anyone there?" He called out in the rain. His brown bangs sticking to his face.
I watched the man closely as Hunter crouched beside me shivering a little from getting soaked. He only had a blouse and brown pants on. He usually stayed in his den where it's warm and sheltered, deep in the woods in this time of year where it rained like crazy.
