February 1st 1986

Kim felt that she had no choice but to avoid river, even if she had felt awful about it.

The things that Eric had said to her had struck her so hard that she had to reflect on all she and river had gone through.

She had informed her mom to not let river come up if he came knocking, which he did.

She had also been skipping school the last few days, she felt even worse since she was indulging in her own self-pity party.

There had been enough knocking, maybe from river.

She trusted her mom enough to know she wasn't going to let him up, Hopefully.

She heard a loud voice call "Kim, I'm sick of this" and suddenly there was loud footsteps coming up the stairs, towards her bedroom.

"Kimberley?" The door opened slowly, a blonde haired boy walked in, closing the door behind him.

Kim turned over, facing her back towards river, not wanting to look at him just in case she let him see any of her emotions.

"Kim? Have I done something wrong?" River spoke quietly slowly walking towards the bed

"I've missed you Kim, it's been a hard week for me." He spoke again, still, no response.

"Kim I don't understand have I done something to upset you? Please Kim if I have please just tell me, please just talk to me" river had started to beg mom for her forgiveness, not knowing what he had done

Kim's heart hurt hearing him beg for her, she didn't want this but it was too late at this point.

"You and me, was any of it real? Kim spoke with a small whimper

"What?" A confused river asked, and began to think.

"Was it Eric?" River questioned, making Kim let out a little hallow breath.

"Eric? Was that right? Tell me, tell me Kim what did Eric do? Has he hurt you in any way? What has he done Kim" river spoke louder and in a stern manner.

Kim let out little sobs, ignoring rivers questions.

"Right." River spoke sternly, and began leaving the room.

"River stop." Kim let out a cry, but was ignored by river.

"River come on don't do anything" she let out louder sobs as she watched river storm down the stairs and leave, unsure of what he was thinking or planning.

She hadn't seen him like this before, she didn't like this side of him.

Kim quickly rushed to get her shoes on to follow him.

"I'll be back mom" Kim called before heading out the door quickly following river to his house.

"River, wait" Kim called

She was ignored.

He stormed into his house, leaving his door open, possibly forgetting about closing it.

Kim had quickly had it over to his house, which seemed empty.

Most of the furniture was missing, the rest of the family was out, but Kim couldn't question it.

"River I'm okay, look" she called in the partially empty house.

"You're fucking not Kim, tell me what he's done." River appeared out of nowhere and pointed in her face

"I'm not letting him hurt you, tell me what he has fucking done Kim" he shouted

"River leave it, it's nothing" Kim let out another sob, begging for the angry river to stop.

"No Kim fucking tell me or I'm going to find him" he shouted

"No" Kim sobbed once more.

"Fine" river let out and began to walk, Kim didn't know where he was walking too but followed him.

"River look I just need you please" she called following him

"River where are you going please"

River stopped in his tracks, and began walking back towards Kim.

"Kimberley, tell me. Please." He grabbed like shoulders begging to know what was wrong with her.

Kim just hugged him, she didn't want to let go, she held him tighter and tighter
