Chapter 3: Harik's Regrets

[Raxarian Sanctuary / Morning / Next Day]

Harik is in their sanctuary cavern as he is telling his son about his past and his history. Rarik is already an adolescent almost fully grown and no longer Juvenile like. He is in the cavern with his father Harik talking about his past when he was a Rydonian and all the crimes he committed.

Harik: [Talking with Rarik] That day.... it was the day I learned about her.... about whom she was...

Rarik: [Young dragon male voice almost adult like] (Looks at Harik) How terrified you were that day father?

Harik: A lot son... you had no idea the power and intelligence that girl had back there and even these days.... her weapons are something that ive never ever seen in my life...

Rarik: Tell me more about your past.... before the era of our kind...

Harik: Back in the age of the Rydonians? well... I was part of many genocides that's for sure.... every time I think about it... I regret killing and eating those poor innocent Haroxians... i was so brainwashed if it wasn't for Sarayah... I would be dead already. Damn Falaruk and his bloodshed.... (Draconic growl) grr, I'm glad he is dead....

Rarik: You ate innocent people??

Harik: My boy.... you never knew my past self in those days... if you have met me in those days, you would be terrified by the number of atrocities I've committed. I've burned down villages and killing every Haroxian I've come across... All those lives I've ruined.... I can't fix that... And the reason why I wanted to start over again as a new me because I was brainwashed.... I was such a monster Rarik.... Your mother Saryk also was part of many genocides during the Red League era... I've seen what she did before, and our actions are similar....

Rarik: (Draconic sighed) I wish we could go back to the past and fix everything dad...

Harik: We can't fix the past... whatever happened, it happened, is like someone carving a marking on a stone... you cannot fix that, and it will be remembered forever... It's the reason why I want to transfer my soul to what we are... I hated seeing myself as a genocidal wyvern that caused so much pain to many lives... When I die... I will die as a Raxarian and not a Rydonian... (Looks at him) We all make mistakes son... I made many mistakes and me and your mother we are teaching you and training you not to make the same mistakes as we did...
