I find silence to be an under appreciated state of being,
People often take long way around to describe what they're seeing,
Some love to hear the sound of their own voices,
In hopes to inspire others to make comedic false choices,
Manipulation and gaslighting becomes their second nature,
Suddenly they have a career spouting political nomenclature,
Propaganda brings them a flock of devoted followers,
Leaving those opposing to suffer as wallowing wallflowers,
Free thinkers must arm themselves with facts, hope and faith,
Lest they find loved ones viewing them as a martyred wraith,
I feel conflicted as I have friends displaying both behaviours,
You can't prevent failures with favours if they're not looking for saviours,
And if you stoop to using deceptive tactics to break through,
You lose self respect imprisoned in their ideological zoo,
So be a person with conviction in your personal doctrine,
And if your only choice is to follow it's best to live sovereign.
