"Mrs. Malfoy? Mrs. Malfoy!" A voice said bring Serena out of her daze. She looked up to see what it looked like, Mrs. Weatherbee with a very large gift basket and a wide grin on her face."G-Good morning, Mrs. Weatherbee!" Serena said, faking a smile. "How can I help you this morning?"
Mrs. Weatherbee sat the basket down on the counter with a thud, causing Serena to take a step back. "Oh I read about your Marriage to the the young Draco Malfoy in the Daily Prophet! Congratulations! I hope this basket treats you and your new husband well!"
Serena looked in the basket. "I- Its full of meat." She said, trying to not cringe at the sight.
"Yes! There's nothing more than what a man needs than meat for his stamina! Good day to you, Mrs. Malfoy!" The lady said as she left the store.
Serena groaned in disgust as she took her wand out and enchanted the basket to float and took it outside to the garbage. "You dogs are going to eat good tonight." She said to the two stray dogs that live in the Alley way of her strip on Diagon Alley.
She then walked back inside and saw her boss, the always eccentric and kind, Mr. Xenophillius Lovegood, who was looking at some parchment. "Another gift basket, Mrs. Malfoy?" He teased, looking up from his parchment to smirk at her.
She glared at him. "You can go out with the dogs too, ya know?"
"Then who would sign your paycheck?" He asked her.
She crossed her arms, rolling her eyes. "The Wedding was a month ago. I don't why everybody is still fixated on it."
"Well you did have a Christmas wedding." Luna said as she sorted though some of the Book inventory. "Its not everyday two of the Ancient Families unite in marriage, especially on Christmas. It was on the Front page of the Daily Prophet."
About a year ago Mr. Lovegood purchased this small Shop in hope to have a headquarters for his weekly Magazine The Quibbler and it eventually turned into a Book shop. Serena also does the advice Column for The Quibbler. This little shop became Serena's safe haven. And working here never was boring. Always something out of the ordinary happened. It was a Lovegood's trait to make life quirky.
Serena rolled her eyes. "But was it so important to reach the front page? There must be more important matters that could of been mentioned rather than a wedding."
"Theres two things in the world that bring people together; weddings and funerals." Mr. Lovegood stated.
"What about Elf Rights? Or Centaur Equality?" Serena asked. "Now that's news!"
"Oh is Serena talking politics again?"
"Hello, Mr. Longbottom!" Mr. Lovegood greeted Neville as he walked up to them. "No, thankfully not. This time." Serena glared at him. "She's asking why her Wedding was on the Front page."
"Oh yeah. Luna put it on our fridge." Neville said, leaning against the counter.
"Luna!" Serena scolded.
"It was the prettiest picture I have of you." Luna told her. "And I'll probably never see you in white again. I want to remember it. Your dress was lovely!"
"It was a pretty dress. But still there's more important matters to address besides a Pureblood wedding.""Be sure to frame it." Serena said sarcastically.
"Oh Lighten up!" Neville told her. "It was a pretty dress and a nice ceremony. And you got your 15 minutes of fame."
