THE MALFOYS

chapter five

   "Serena! Serena!" Luna said barging into the Bookshop office. "You have to hide!" Luna shut the office door enchanting the lock.

  "What?" Serena asked her confused. "Wheres the fire?"

  "Finn's back!"

"What do you mean he's back? I thought he went in vacation with his mum to the alps." She said as they closed the blinds. "Loki, stay here." She said to the cat who yawned and went back to sleep. The two girls slid their backs again the wall and curled themselves into a ball.

  "What does he want now?" Serena asked Luna.

   Luna looked through the blinds. "A catalog for rings, perhap?" She said smiling.

  "Ha. Ha." Serena said sarcastically. "Why can't he just move on? Most people do from childhood crushes."

  Mr. Lovegood opened the door and leaned against the doorway looking down at the two girls. "Well ladies, we have evaded the issue. For now." He then looked at Loki, who was sleeping on his bed on the desk. "I'm guessing that's your knight in shiny armor."

  Serena rolled her eyes then said sarcastically. "The only time he's feral is when I open his can of tuna." The cat wiggled his ear and opened on of his eyes, glaring at his new owner. "Dont look at me like that, Loki Xenophillius Malfoy."

  Mr. Lovegood out a hand on his heart. "You named him after me?" He said wiping a tear.

  "You got dad weeping." Luna said sadly.

  "I'm sorry I just.." Mr. Lovegood took out and handkerchief and blew his nose. "I'll be alright."

   Serena looked away. "Whoops."

Luna then stood up holding a hand to boost Serena up. She took it and stood up, patting the dirt off of her skirt. "I really enjoyed the six months of not hiding and getting dirt on my ass."

  "I don't know what to do about him. There's no way he can not know about your Marriage."

  "Yeah I know. Front page story Mr and Mrs. Draco Malfoy."  Serena mocked as she backed up and hit something. "Why do always do that?" She turned around to see none other than Finn Howland with a heart broken look on his face.

  "You're married? To Draco Malfoy?" He sounded so broken.

  "Finn, look, I've tried telling you for years that you and me just wasn't going to happen." She told him.

  "But he's Malfoy." Finn said angrily. "Hes rude, arrogant and a spoiled rich daddy's boy."

  "Hey!" She shot back. "Thats my husband your talking about!"

  "How can you love him after everything he's done?" Finn argued. "He was a Deatheater, he served Lord Voldemort. Him and his pathetic family. How can you love him after all of that?"

  "Because I just do!" Serena shot back, looking at the white hair entering the hop, wide eyed.

   Luna and her dad were also wide eyed and Mr. Lovegood whispered to his daughter, "Did you have any idea about this?"

  "Not a clue." She replied.

"Man should of gotten the popcorn!" Mr. Lovegood pouted.

Draco glared at Finn who at this point turned around and faced his foe. "Howland? What are you doing here?" Draco asked him, like a wolf backing his prey against a corner.  Finn was speechless so all he did was run.

  Draco watched him leave and said, "What's up with him?" He looked at Serena then to Mr. Lovegood and Luna. "Whats up with her?"

     Mr. Lovegood shrugged. "Hey, Serena your check is late."
