Epilogue: Lazy Day.

A Year and Some Months Later

"Congratulations ma'am, it's a girl!"

"Wow, oh my-!"

"And another girl!"

"Aww, so cu-"

"And another girl, and a boy! And another boy!"

"What?! That's amazing! Five babies!"

"Not five... SIX perfectly healthy little ones!"

"Awwww!!!" I squealed, happy for Moo despite Doc being so extra with his presentation. "Moo you have six new babies, you're a Mommyyy!"

"Shh. You'll wake them, honey." Mom hushed me, watching adoringly as Moo licked at her six sleepy kittens, all black and white and fuzzy, just like her.
We had a suspicion the father was the tuxedo tabby that lived close by.

Since moving to college, Mom and Dad had somehow turned Moo into an outdoor cat and no one even had a clue she was pregnant until a few weeks ago!
We were starting first year final exams when I got a call from Dad that my cat might be with actual child. The vet had said she'd likely be due in a few weeks time, which was just when we all planned to meet up for the holidays!

Although I had to leave earlier than I planned and was only able to drive four hours all the way down on short notice thanks to Angelo. Honestly, today even started off as a lazy day.

A few hours ago...

In retrospect, I should have known Angelo would try to work himself to stupor.
It was barely one in the morning and the only reason I'd even woken up was to drink some water which I'd sort of been waking up to do since moving to uni.

But I blinked my eyes open and across from me, the man was up and tapping away at his computer at his desk.

"Workaholic." I mumbled and I heard him snort a quiet laugh.

"Letty." Angelo said, leaning back into his chair, his eyes squinting with a smile, no shirt whatsoever.
I made a big stretch in the bed, under his sheets, in his huge luxury dorm that I never got to visit often because of how different our schedules were.

"We're literally on holiday." I said huskily, tiredly rubbing my eyes. "What kind of Professor gives an assignment due a day into the holiday?"

"One who doesn't care." Angelo said, but he'd paused his work to watch me with a smile, so obviously glad to have me around... amongst other things. "You look beautiful."

I blushed with a playful pout and picked up my pair of shorts from the string of scattered clothes on the floor. "It's because I'm naked, isn't it?"

"Ah," He smiled some more, and got up from his seat to walk around his desk with bare feet. "We take pictures of the same moon everyday no matter what state it is, but do so especially more when it's full." He said and handed me the glass of water he'd kept on the side drawer for me. "All states are beautiful, but one is just even more."

I stared at him in amazement, taking the cup. "You did not just come up with that on the spot."

"Hey, I have a lot of time to think about you when you're not around." He said and crossed over me to gracefully flop into the bed, his lovely golden hair tumbling onto his face and onto his pillow in tendrils. And he kept his eyes shut with a smile when I brushed his hair out of his face with my hand.

After a satisfying, much needed drink, I snuggled into the sheets with him, laying on my front while he drew invisible, tingly lines on my bare back, our legs tangled together.
