Inside the black ledger, there's a list with people who have influence over the Hong Kong Police Department. Apart from a page with three characters that spell out 'Hóng Kǒng Què' (Red Peacock), there's another interesting page.
The first page showed a photo of a man in his thirties, dressed as a corporate man, with slick, neatly combed hair and old fashioned gold-rimmed glasses. Below the image was a name written in three characters: "Wèi Jǐnyǐn"

"Good morning, Inspector. Your skin's looking tan! How was Phuket?" Duàn Fēng greeted as soon as he saw Lù Yī Péng walking into the department.
"Okay," the young inspector replied, raising his hand to massage his forehead because he had trouble falling asleep last night, his mind buzzing with strange thoughts. It was almost dawn before he could finally drift off.
Seeing this, Duàn Fēng didn't push further.
"Inspector, you have terrible luck. Just came back and you're already dealing with the Fox again. Going on vacation might not even help at this rate," Duàn Fēng commented.
Lù Yī Péng turned to look at Duang Feng in surprise, "Captain, what did you just say? The Fox? Wèi Jǐn Yǐn? What did he do?"
'The Fox' was nickname for Wèi Jǐn Yǐn, who currently held the chief executive position in the Wèi family business, a corporate dynasty and its subsidiaries. It is one of the top-ranking conglomerates in Hong Kong, with its main business worth the equivalent of one sixth of all the top business in the entire country.
"It seems like he's done something vile enough to warrant sending someone to fetch him for questioning. They said he'd come in today. Wait, Inspector, you haven't heard the news yet?" Duàn Fēng said, looking surprised. Lù Yī Péng shook his head.
"I just got back. haven't heard a thing."
"Well, I saw your face looking tense. I thought you might know something already." Duàn Fēng implied,
Lù Yī Péng looked at him "Well at least I'm a bit more informed now. What else has that cruel man done?"
"I really don't want to talk about it." Duàn Fēng swallowed hard as he heard the words 'cruel man', he shuddered, "What kind of monster would even kill his own younger brother, before he could even reach adult age?"
"Mmm..." Lù Yī Péng cleared his throat, recalling the case of the attack on the two young grandsons of Wèi Qíng, the prior head of the Wèi family, and his other son's car accident. According to rumors, the latter young man was in a coma at the hospital, showing no signs of recovery.
"That case has been ongoing for nine years now, the grievance is over. But since his father withdrew the charges two years ago. It's possible that he feared his son would do even worse things than in the past." He concluded before taking a breath and then turning to ask,
"So, what did he do this time?"
Duàn Fēng intended to reply, but upon seeing Shén Qín entering, he hesitated and motioned towards his direction instead. "Let the Deputy Commissioner explain. I don't have all the details so it's better if he does it."
Shén Qín cleared his throat and smiled a little before turning to greet Lù Yī Péng,
"Looking tan, Inspector. Did you find a lover over there?"
Lù Yī Péng shook his head and smiled dryly. "Actually, I have brought something back for you," he said, then reached for the bags of souvenirs and handed one to Commissioner Qín before giving another one to Duàn Fēng.
