"Clarens residence, Ivy speaking," Ivy's voice ran through the phone to Alex who was sat in his hospital room. "Hi Ivy it's Alex," he responded, his nerves high. "Oh hey Alex! What's up," Ivy looks back down to her paper she's working on and scribbles down some more information waiting for Alex's response. "I was wondering if you'd like to maybe come visit me?" His voice shook from nervousness. "Sure I'm free to come in an hour?" She asked looking at her watch. Alex hummed in agreement and said his goodbyes.

"Mum I'm going to the hospital!" Ivy yelled out while getting ready. "Okay Ivs be safe," her mum called back from her room. Ivy picked out a pair of baggy jeans and an oversized Iron Maiden band tee. She grabbed her shoulder bag with her wallet, biology paper and pencil case in it and made her way to the bus stop.

"Hey Billy," she waved as she walked by his house. "Hi Ivy, where are you going?" He asked. "Off to the hospital," she smiled at him and went to walk off. "You know I heard the Coopers talking about you the other night," Billy said nonchalantly. Ivy stopped and turned to him. "Which ones?" She asked moving towards him. "Mrs Cooper and Mr Cooper and Georgie!" He beamed.

Ivy walked up to the Coopers house and walked in. She made her way to the den where Mr Cooper sat. "Oh hi Ivy. Missy's at baseball practice," He gestured for her to sit with him. "That's okay I'm here to talk to you, your wife or Georgie." Ivy's voice was stern. George adjusted in his seat, making it squeak slightly. "Why what's wrong," he laughed softly from uncomfortableness.

Sheldon was down in his bedroom working on his computer when he heard Ivy's voice. He moved towards his doorway and listened in.

"Why were you three talking about me the other night, Billy heard y'all through the fence," Ivy perches her eyebrow up. "Oh uh no no reason," George forces out. "But you were talking about me correct?"
"I guess we were yes," he confirms. "So are you going to tell me what it was?" She asks again.

"What's happening?" Sheldon walks out from his bedroom to the den where his dad and Ivy were. "Nothing, I was just leaving," Ivy speaks softly and gives George a side glance that makes him sweat. "I'll see y'all later," she mumbles and lets herself out.

She walks back to her house completely forgetting about Alex. Once she arrives her mum is on the phone with someone. "Honey its for you," she hands the phone to Ivy. "Hey, forget about me?" Alex's asks. "Oh shit I'm sorry I got busy then I had to do something. I'll come see you next time I'm in the hospital," she sighs and rubs her forehead defeated. Alex hummed softly sounding hurt. "Okay well bye then," he said before hanging up.

Ivy sits on the couch next to the phone and stares at it. She wanted to call Missy and just talk to her about everything. Ask her if she knew why her family was talking about her but what if Missy is the reason. What if Missy doesn't like Ivy and that's why?

What if?

Dopamine receptors are empty, she needs a fix.
