Ivy groaned at the loud beeping of her alarm. She whacked the top of it and rolled over. "Don't hit off and go back to sleep," her mum spoke from Ivy's doorway. "Fine," Ivy grumbled and sat up.

She lifted her arms in a stretch exposing her stomach. "We're leaving in 45 minutes," her mum tapped the door and walked away.

Ivy got up and began to walk to the shower. She wanted a nice steamy shower to wake her up. Or maybe make her feel more relaxed, she didn't know at that point.

She opened the shower and turned it on. She let it run as she brushed the knots out of her hair.

-
After her scorching shower she blow-dried her hair and made her way to her room. She picked out her outfit;
A long sleeve grey cami with baggy, low rise jeans. She accompanied that with her jewellery, rings littered her fingers and she had necklaces layered onto her neck.

"Honey you almost ready?" Her mum called. "Yeah," she called back and sat at her makeup desk to start doing her makeup. She did a natural base with smokey eyeliner. "Perfect," she whispers to herself.

"I'm ready mum," ivy yells out. "Okay in the car," her mum responds. Ivy grabs her shoulder bag and walks out to her mum's car.

Outside stood Sheldon. "What do you want?" Ivy sneered unlocking her mum's car. "What?" Sheldon was taken aback from the hostility. "You heard me," she responded. "I want to apologise," he said sheepishly. "As you should, but I'm late so you can apologise to me later. This doesn't count," she snapped and slammed the door in his face.

Sheldon stood there a bit dumbfounded. He then turned around and walked back to his house as to not be late to college. His face went tingly and he felt warm tears streaking down his face. Sheldon wiped them away as he reached his porch. "You ready to go?" Mary asked. He nodded and got into the car.

-
"Your brother showed up at my house this morning," Ivy says as she walked into school with Missy. "What did he want?" Missy asked. "Wanted to apologise," Ivy shrugged and stood In front of a locker. She started punching in numbers. "Where's yours?" Ivy asked. "Down in the Freshman building," Missy said obviously. "Oh right, we have a break together. Meet you at the tree?" Ivy asks. Missy nodded and walked off waving at her friend.

Ivy shoved in her books for other lessons along with her bag. She grabbed out her Chemistry book and made her way to the other side of the building to her first class.

-
"Ivy Claren?" The little old lady asked. "Here," Ivy raised her hand in the back. Even if she was smart she liked the back. Less likely for someone to throw a spitball at the young girl. "Wow you're young," the teacher spoke. "I'm 15, ain't that young," Ivy mumbled. "Okay then," she said moving on.

"Can anyone recite Avogadro's number," the teacher - Ivy now knew was called Mrs Gally - asked. Ivy looked around then lifted her hand for the first time in this class. "6.022x10²³," Ivy said softly not wanting to draw too much attention. "Very good, did everyone know that?" Mrs Gally asked. Everyone shook their heads no.

It's such a simple formula what? Ivy thought.

-
"Miss Claren please stay back, everyone else you're excused." Mrs Gally announced. Ivy rolled her eyes, great.

"What's up," Ivy asked sitting in her seat still. "I've looked at your file. You're very bright, are you learning in this class?" Mrs Gally asked. "It's more just reciting what I already know," Ivy shrugged. "Well I have a friend up in East Texas Tech University that is interested in you auditing his class." Mrs Gally smiled. "Oh wow really?" Ivy said intrigued. Mrs Gally nodded. "You'd drop this class if you want and go do that class once a week, take a day off and do that. Or you can still come to this class and still drop a day of school as the college class goes for a couple hours." Mrs Gally explained.

"I would love that, I'll have to talk to my mum," Ivy said. "No worries I'll give the teacher your mum's number to call her," "thanks,"

Ivy walked out of the class and did a little happy dance. Wait. East Texas Tech, that's where Sheldon went. For fucks sake. She couldn't get away from that guy.

Maybe it was a sign. Maybe she shouldn't go to Alex's this afternoon.
