Hatred

Hating something that you love hurts more than I imagined at first.

The days passed by with emptiness and sorrow and confusion. I didn't know what to do next. Everything felt so silent and eerie at home. It feels different. It doesn't feel like 'home' anymore.

Ichinan High was supposed to be a school that excel in soccer. But I never felt anything during our matches or training. I felt scared and guilty. Seeing Ra watching from amongst the audience with an envious face. And imagining Toya sitting on the benches, scolded by his coach. Reminiscing the day when I came home with scars and blood all over my body. Wrapping my own wounds with the bandage I had in the drawer.

The days when my eyes never showed the spark it had shown before. The days when I wished everything could be altered. The days when I wished that I could make them smile proudly...

Isagi woke up panting. His body was sweating, and he felt hot with the blanket still wrapped around his body. He looked around. It seems that he overslept. It's a good thing all he had to do now is to wait for any recent news to arrive.

He walked out into the hallways and made his way to the cafeteria. He saw Nagi and Chigiri sitting together not far from there. After taking his tray, Isagi decided to join the two.

"Nee, Isagi. It's unusual for you to oversleep," Nagi lifted his head, yawning.
"Yea. Maybe your lazy disease began to spread inside me," he replied jokingly.
"You look a little pale. Did you have a nightmare?" Chigiri asked.
"Not really."

Chigiri noticed Isagi's sweaty face, but shrugged it off. He walked off to return his tray, leaving Nagi with Isagi on the table.

"Nee, Isagi. Nee, why are you always warm to other people?"
"Is it wrong to do that?" Isagi tilted his head.
"No, it's just... Isn't tiring? Pretending to like something when you actually don't?"

Isagi shuddered.

"W- what are you i- implying Nagi?" Isagi stuttered.
"Like Barou and Rin. I'm pretty sure they kinda hate you. And you're rivals with them, but you're still kind and warm to them," Nagi twirled his fingers.

Isagi gave a sigh of relief. He thought that Rin or Bachira spread some weird rumor about him.

"Well, being rivals doesn't restrict you from being friends. And who cares if they hate me? I feel comfortable around them, and that's that."

Nagi's eyes twinkled, but he only nodded lazily and went straight to sleep. Isagi sat in front of him, starting to eat his food.

'I really thought Nagi found out about my past. Well, I can trust Bachira with this, but I'm not quite sure about Luna. He doesn't seem pleasant to deal with. I can see that from when we faced him°'

After he finished eating, he went off with his tray, distributing it neatly in a cart. He shook Nagi's shoulder and the both of them went to the training camp.

They met a few friends like Reo and Gagamaru and Raichi. They decided to train together for 1 or 2 hours before taking a shower.

Isagi and Reo were behind in physical specs. But they excel in their own way, and decided to train a little differently than the others. They helped eachother make various simulations, and analyzed in real life action.

A while later, they found themselves relaxing in the shower room. Nagi floated around, ignoring Barou's protests, playing ninja with Reo and Chigiri. Gagamaru continued to nag Raichi, and they ended up in a fight.

Meanwhile Isagi was already done cleaning himself. Of course, he had chores (that only he can do), because Bluelock doesn't facilitate you with such luxury everyday, and they are left to take care of themselves.
