Failed

The day has come. It is the day when Isagi would finally show his hidden gifts in a match. The night before, Isagi could barely sleep because of his nervousness.
“What if I mess up and just embarrass myself? What if my Star State doesn’t awaken and we get beaten and they think I was lying just for attention?”

Millions of thoughts ran through Isagi's mind that night as he tried his best to fall asleep.

The Next Day
Time: 3:00 pm

Isagi, Reo, Bachira, and two other players were in the changing room getting ready for the match against Luna, Adam, and Dada.

“They have no way of stopping us if we have you on our team,” Bachira hummed.
Isagi chuckled, “Thanks Bachira.” “Just awaken that 'Star State' thing and you can basically forget about us being on the team,” Reo laughed. He had heard everything.

A whistle went off indicating the field was ready for players to play a match on.

In the other changing room

“Let's see what this kid can really do!” said Luna as he put his socks and shin guards on.

There were two other players on their team that was playing. They didn’t know who they were or what they could do because they randomly chose them for extra players to be able to participate in the 5v5. Loki doesn't want anything to do with their predicament, and Cavassos thought that it'd be unfair if he played too.

“Y’know, we don’t really need you guys. Don’t get all confident just because you're playing with us,” Dada said.
“Stupid little kids actually think they’re on the same level as us,” Adam scoffed.
“Hey!”
“Shut up. Your high-pitched voice is piercing my eardrums,” Dada groaned.

Both teams started to walk onto the field and got ready to start.

“Isagi, you are striker. Bachira, you’re left wing, and I'm right wing. You guys be the defense,” Reo said as he stuck his thumb out to the players they didn’t know.

Everyone got in their positions and prepared for the whistle to sound. A loud tweet was heard and the game had started. Bachira had the ball and started to run downfield.

“Bachira! I’m here! Pass!” yelled Reo who was running down the middle.

Adam was right in front of Bachira and he had to choose whether he would try to get around him or pass. Because of his amazing dribbling and agility skills, he chose to take him on.

“You're not getting around me that easily,” Adam said as he swiftly swiped the ball away from him, and passed it up to Luna.

Luna receives the ball and starts to dribble the ball up the field. He comes head-to-head with the extra player and thinks about what his next move would be to get around him.

“Hmmm. I don’t have to worry about this other weakling so… How about a rainbow flick to get past this guy!”

Luna adjusted his stance and flicked the ball over the guy's head and took a shot on goal. Him being way too overly cocky, he turned around and started to celebrate and walk back to the middle of the field. Unfortunately for him, the ball ended up hitting the top post and bounced back onto the field, earning a soft smile from Isagi.

“Reo clear the ball!” Isagi yelled. He then saw Dada running up the field to get the ball back. Dada trapped it with his foot and took a shot about 30 meters from the goal. Everyone watched the ball twirl in the air.

“What type of kick was that?” One of Isagi's team chuckled.
“You’ll see,” Adam hummed as he walked passed him.

The ball had an unusual spin to it and somehow, it redirected and started to aim for the goal. There was nothing defence could do because of the height of the shot. The ball landed in the top left corner of the goal.
