Jaden's dream:
(Chapter 1)
Hope for the future

*Monday morning...*

The Kuriboh haired boy slept in his bed. He lived alone most of the time unless you count a brown cat, a spirit who refuses to move on and two souls resting inside of his soul.

Pharaoh: "Meow!" He jumped onto the Kuriboh haired boy's bed and laid down on his lap.

The alarm clock went off and it was time for the Kuriboh haired boy to wake up in order to be on time for work. He groaned and put his covers over his head to drown out the sound of the alarm.

Professor Banner: "Jaden wake up." He tried to wake up his former student.

Jaden: "Ughh... just five more minutes." He shrugged off the noise and refused to wake up.

The dragon that lived within the Kuriboh haired boy's soul, appeared next to him and tried to wake him up so he wouldn't be late for work. The time is eight thirty in the morning and he had to be up by seven thirty in order to be on time for his shift at the game shop which starts at nine forty.

The alarm had been beeping for a while and the Kuriboh haired boy ignored it the whole time.

Yubel: "Jaden wake up! You must get ready for your job. You don't want to be late." She shouted.

Jaden: "I don't care about that stupid job..." He groaned under the covers when he said this.

Yubel: "Don't make me take over..." They threatened the Kuriboh haired boy that they would possess his body in order for him to get out of his bed and get ready for work.

Jaden: "Fine I'll get up!" He turned off the alarm clock and forced himself to get out of bed.

The dragon is relieved that she didn't need to go to the extreme to wake up her friend. Although, upon waking up, he's drowsy with dark circles under his eyes, tattered, unkept hair and wrinkled clothes from his former days at Duel Academy.

Yubel: "Oh dear god."  They winced.

Jaden: "What?" He glared at the dragon.

Yubel: "Jaden you look terrible. What happened to you?" She sighed.

Jaden: "That's none of your damn business!" He snapped at the dragon and stepped inside of the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Yubel: "Well... Someone's had a bad dream." She huffed from the rude tone that the Kuriboh haired boy gave her.

Professor Banner: "Maybe he's just tired. The poor boy hasn't slept well in months." He replied to the dragon, floating around beside them.

Yubel: "That's no excuse for him to get up late and neglect his appearance. Jaden cannot just sit around in his filth and refuse his daily practices. It's unsuitable for a young man like him." They growled.

The Kuriboh haired boy overheard them talking about him while he was brushing his teeth in the bathroom. He hated it whenever the two would talk about his mental health going off the deep end, as he's heard from them every single day.
