A LITTLE SURPRISE FOR EKANKSH

As Ekanksh slowly regained consciousness, his surroundings gradually came into focus. The sterile scent of the hospital permeated the air, and the steady beep of monitors filled the room. Blinking against the harsh light, he struggled to make sense of where he was.

A nurse hovered nearby, her attention focused on the various machines monitoring Ekanksh's vital signs. Sensing his awakening, she turned to him with a gentle smile.

"You're awake," she said softly, her voice a comforting presence in the sterile room. "How are you feeling?"

Confusion clouded Ekanksh's mind as he tried to piece together the events that had led him here. With a furrowed brow, he turned to the nurse and croaked out a question, his voice raspy from disuse.

"How did I end up here? Who brought me to the hospital?" he managed to ask, his words tinged with a sense of urgency.

Before the nurse could respond, another voice cut through the air, sending a jolt of surprise through Ekanksh's body. He turned towards the sound, his eyes widening in disbelief.

Standing before him, clad in a doctor's coat, was Vamika, the princess of Udaipur. Ekanksh's heart skipped a beat as he struggled to comprehend what he was seeing. How could Vamika, the woman he loved, be a doctor?

Vamika approached him with a calm demeanor, her expression betraying none of the turmoil that Ekanksh felt inside. With practiced ease, she examined his charts and assessed his condition.

"Yes, I'm a doctor," she confirmed, her voice steady despite the emotions swirling beneath the surface. "I'm the main cardiologist here at the hospital."

Ekanksh's mind reeled at the revelation. He couldn't fathom how Vamika had become a doctor, let alone a cardiologist. But as he looked into her eyes, he saw the same determination and intelligence that had always captivated him.

Vamika administered a pain-relieving injection, her touch gentle yet assured. As they talked, Ekanksh felt a sense of familiarity wash over him, as if they had never been apart. They reminisced about old times, sharing stories and laughter amidst the sterile confines of the hospital room.

Before long, Vamika informed him that he was well enough to leave the hospital. Ekanksh's heart swelled with gratitude towards her, both for her medical expertise and her unwavering support.

As they parted ways, Vamika mentioned the engagement ceremony of the Jodhpur king's son, a reminder of the world beyond the hospital walls. Ekanksh's mind raced with possibilities, his heart yearning to be by Vamika's side once more.

With newfound determination, Ekanksh prepared to return to the palace, his thoughts consumed by the woman who had stolen his heart – not just as a princess, but now as a healer too.

As Ekanksh stepped through the grand gates of the palace, he was greeted by the hustle and bustle of palace life. Servants scurried about, preparing for the upcoming engagement ceremony, while guards stood sentinel at every entrance.

As he made his way towards the main stairway, a crowd began to gather, eager to catch a glimpse of the prince's return. The king of Udaipur and the king of Jodhpur emerged from the crowd, their expressions a mix of concern and relief.

"Ekanksh, my dear friend, how are you feeling?" the king of Udaipur inquired, his voice filled with genuine concern. "We were all so worried when we heard about your condition."

"I'm fine, Your Majesty," Ekanksh reassured him, his voice steady despite the lingering ache in his body. "Just a few bruises, nothing serious."

The king of Jodhpur nodded in agreement, his expression grave. "We're glad to see you up and about. There's much to do before the engagement ceremony this evening."
