[ info: Character is called Evan, she works in the MDP (ministry of defence), been dating Alessia Russo for over a year after meeting her in a club while on a night out with her mates]

Most nights I would be home before Evan, having that luxury of finishing between 1 and 4 pm unless it's a match day. I'd come home, having a few hours to myself before Evan would arrived home from work, some days she'd come back home in a good mood, sometimes she'd come back in a bad mood, having experienced something during work.

I'm forever proud of her, going to work and risking her life every single day, experiencing traumatic things on a regular basis yet always putting a brave face on and getting on with the things that needed to be done.

The contrast between mine and her jobs are huge, the only risk I'll ever experience is possibly getting an injury but Evans got multiple risks she experiences day in day out.

It's hard to watch her leave in the morning for work knowing that there's a possibility she won't return home.

"Morning" I heard Evans morning voice say behind me, I turned around from where I was making us some breakfast, walking up to her and wrapping my arms around her, leaning my head against her chest.

"Morning Evan" I said softly back as she wrapped her arms gently around me

"So what have you got planned today?" Evan asked me as she walked into the laundry room, looking for her police uniform

"I've got light training at 11 and then later tonight I have a media event thingy" I said as I watched her slip her top on

She fitted and looked a little to good in her uniform, the way the t-shirt stretched over her muscular arms, the belt she wore.... Everything about the uniform was perfect

She went back into the laundry room, coming out a minute after with her police pants on instead of her shorts she wore to bed

I walked over to her, reaching down to her belt, that was still undone, and doing it up for her.

I laid my hand on her stomach as I looked up at her, I leaned up and pressed a kiss against her lips

"Breakfast?" She asked after breaking the kiss, making me roll my eyes playfully

We walked over to the counter and grabbed our plates of food before walking over to the table and eating before Evan had to leave for work

"Text me during the day so I know your safe" I said, head nuzzled into her neck as we hugged before she left

"Of course Alessia" she said softly back.

I sighed as my message I had sent at 11 was still left on delivered, it was currently 4 pm, I had been at home now for a few hours

The fact my message had been left on delivered for so long told me that Evan was probably having a stressful day, not having the time to reply to my message.

Knowing that Evan should be arriving home soon I quickly went out to the shops and grabbed some food for us.

I sighed as I pulled into Alessia's and my drive, seeing Alessia's car already gone, telling me that she's probably already headed off to the media event.

I walked into the house, taking my shoes off and walking into the kitchen, sitting down at one of the island chairs

I just needed Alessia right now, today was a very stressful day, more stressful then normal.
