Here comes the hard part

ABBY'S POV

I'm sitting in my bedroom, just packing up everything. We're meant to be leaving for Hogwarts in 2 weeks. It's Bill and Fleur's wedding tomorrow. I'm one of the bridesmaids. I never wanted Bill to get married to Fleur, but I can see how happy he is. I'm putting away all my books, all my stuff for school. "ABBY!!" Mum screams. I run downstairs. "What? What is it? Death eaters!?" I ask pulling my wand out. "No sweetheart it's Ash." Mum says. I sigh in relief. "Ash!!" I squeal. She runs towards me and hugs me. "I missed you so much. How are you?" I ask her. "I missed you too. I'm fine Abby." She says. I smile at her.

"Ok Ash, why don't you go to Abby's room and I'll call you both down for dinner ok?" Mum says. We nod and I take her to my room. We walk in and I lock the door. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Nothing." She says, lying to me. "Ash don't lie to me." I say. "DON'T CALL ME THAT!" She screams. "Woah ok. What happened." I ask. "It's Brook." She says. "What's Brook?" I ask, completely confused. "My name. My names Brook." She says. "Oh right.. Why?" I ask her. "Because my sister used to call me Ash. She used to wish I got turned into ashes. I went by that name because I thought it made me look tough, but every time someone called me with the name, it reminded me of her. That name wanted to make me break down. So... Now I'm Brook." She says. "Alright then Brook. I could get used to this name." I laugh. She laughs. "How was it then?" I ask her. "I'm legally emancipated, in the real world." She tells me. "Oh my god that's amazing!" (Emancipation is when you're freed from your guardian or parent and your guardian of parent is free from any responsibility towards you.) "Yeah. I've been trying to look for a house, but I couldn't find one." She tells me. "So where have you been staying?" I ask her. "I've been binging in cheap hotels." She tells me. "For 4 weeks?" I ask in shock. "No! I'm not mad. I stayed at some friends houses for a while. And then... I started at hotels. Many hotels I went to asked for credit cards and... I couldn't stay there. They asked me about my parents and I told them I was emancipated and then I walked out. It's been a rough summer holiday." She tells me. "Brook." I hug her and she hugged me back. "You should've come here straight away." I tell her. "I could BARELY get here today." She tells me. I chuck her some clothes. "Here." I tell her. "What are they for?" She asks me. "Tomorrow." I tell her. "It's a dress... And heels what the hell? Just because I've changed my name doesn't mean I've changed my personality." She says looking at me confused. "Haha. No! Brook these are for Bill and Fleur's wedding tomorrow." I say, laughing. "Oh right damn." She says. We both crack up laughing.

"ABBY, ASH! DINNER!" Mum screams from downstairs. Brook sighs. "Don't worry Brook, I'll tell them." I say smiling at her. She smiles back and we walk down the stairs. I see that everyone is already sitting at the table. "Guys. Something important to tell you. Ash is not Ash anymore. Her name is Brook. Short for Brooklyn. With a new start she's wanted a new name so I hope you guys can go along with that." I announce. "Course we can." They say, smiling. "Brook you're welcome over anytime." Bill says smiling. Brook smiles at us. "Thanks." She says. We all smile at her. She sits down next to Harry and I sit down in between Charlie and Bill. "Are you excited for tomorrow?" I ask Bill. "Yeah." He says, smiling toothily. Me and Charlie smile at him. "Can't wait to see you in a dress!" Bill exclaims. I roll my eyes. "I'm dreading that part more than you can even imagine." I tell him. "Oh you'll get over it." Bill says. "Yeah... Right. Of course I will." I say sarcastically. They laugh. Mum puts a plate in front of me and gives me a fork. "To stab Bill with right? Because he's being so annoying." I laugh. Bill rolls his eyes with a smile on his face. "OI Bill." Charlie says. "What?" He says. "Mate, Fleur's hot and all... But she's kind of annoying." Charlie says laughing. "Ok whatever, I totally care for your opinion right?" Bill said, with a hurt look on his face. "Bro chill, I was only joking. You know I don't care who you marry. I respect your decision fully." Charlie says. "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all." Mum whispers to him. "No it's ok mum." Bill says looking pissed. "Bill chill you don't wanna get in a fight the night before your wedding." I whisper to him. "Fine. It's alright mate." Bill says. "Boys are so stupid." I say, earning hits from both sides. "Ow! If you want me to wear a dress tomorrow, stop giving me bruises!" I shout holding my arms, while the boys besides me are cracking up in laughter.

••••••THE NEXT DAY••••••

I woke up in the morning to see someone hanging a dress above my head. "What the..." I start. "Come on come on! Time to get up! Get into the bathroom!" Mum shouts. She hangs the dress on the handle of my cupboard and leaves the room. I look around to see Brook already up and doing her hair. "I tried to wake you up." She said guiltily. "Mmhmm." I say. I get out of my bed and grab all my wash stuff. I go to the bathroom and have a bath. I jump out and dry my self. I dry my hair with magic and put on my bathrobe. I go to my room and slip into my dress. "What do you think?" I ask turning to B. "You look bridesmaid material." She says smirking. "That's the look I was going for." I reply smirking back. I put on my white heels. Brooke is wearing a light blue dress, black heels and her hair is left out. She has got light and dark makeup on. "You look AMAZING." I say smiling. "Thanks. You too." She says smiling. I'm wearing a purple dress with white shoes, my hair is curled and I'm wearing makeup that goes with the dress. We both walk to the room that Fleur's in. "Ah my bridesmaid looks amazing!" She squeals. "You look amazing too Fleur." I say smiling. "You must be Brooke. You look so pretty." She says, the French in her showing up. "Trés fantastique!" She says smiling. "This wedding should be interesting." B mutters to me.
