Chapter 4

Things between Gabby and Matt were going to change. One day the firehouse received a distress call from a daycare center. They rushed to the scene, but unfortunately they were unable to save one of the children trapped inside. Gabby, who had lost her own brother, couldn't help but feel the immense pain and sadness of the child's parents. It was a tough day for the team at Firehouse 51, and Gabby and Matt were no exception.

After a long and emotionally draining day, Gabby and Matt decided to go on a much-needed date to unwind and let go of the stresses of their job. They dressed up and headed to a cozy restaurant, where they enjoyed a delicious meal and talked about anything and everything. It was refreshing for Gabby to have someone like Matt who understood tough and often heartbreaking job of a firefighter.

As the night went on, they walked hand in hand through the city streets, stopping to admire the view and take in the beauty of the city. They laughed and joked, feeling like carefree teenagers in love. Matt couldn't help but feel grateful for Gabby's presence in his life. She was his rock, his confidant, and his best friend.

Once they returned to her apartment, the atmosphere changed. The stress and sadness of the day were replaced with passion and desire. They shared a deep and intimate connection that had been growing between them for months. It was a moment that they had both been waiting for, and it was even more special because they had both been there for each-other during the tough times.

Gabby snuggled closer to Matt, resting her head on his chest. She loved being held by him, feeling his strong arms wrapped around her. They had just finished watching a a romantic movie and now Gabby was feeling especially cuddly and affectionate.

"Matt, I think I'm falling in love with you." Gabby said, looking into his hazel eyes.

"I think i'm falling in love with you too, Gabby." Matt replied, leaning down to give her a gentle kiss on the lips.

Their kissing soon turned into something more passionate, as their hands wondered and their bodies pressed closer together. They could feel the heat between them building, as they became more intimate with each other.

Gabby could feel Matt's hardness pressing against her thigh and she moaned softly as he kissed her neck. She loved how he knew exactly how to touch and kiss her to drive her wild, even though this was their first time being intimate with each other.

Their clothes soon disappeared, as they both became lost in the moment. their bodies intertwined, limbs tangled as they lost themselves in pleasure.

Gabby could feel the tension building inside her as Matt's skilled hands and lips roamed over her body. She was soon aching for release, and she could tell Matt was feeling the same.

Tonight it was special. Maybe it was the movie that they had just watched or the way Matt was looking at her with so much love and desire in his eyes.

As they both reached their climax, their cries of pleasure filled the room. They lay there, panting and sweating, but completely satisfied, Matt held Gabby close to him, running his fingers through her hair.

"I love you, Gabby." Matt whispered, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"I love you too, Matt." Gabby replied, snuggling closer to him.

They lay there in each other's arms, basking in the afterglow and feeling grateful for the love they shared. Gabby admired Matt's strong and caring nature, and she knew she could always count on him for support and love. And Matt, in turn, cherished Gabby's loving and compassionate personality, and how she always put his needs above her own.

As they lay in bed, their bodies entwined and their hearts content, Gabby couldn't help but feel grateful for the man lying next to her. She never imagined that someone like Matt, with his strong and smart personality, would fall in love with someone like her, who was often described as "closed off"

Last night, after their date, she and Matt spent the night together. The chemistry between them was undeniable and Gabriella couldn't stop smiling as she thought about the previous night's events.

Matt, on the other hand, seemed to be trying a little too hard to maintain his usual cool demeanor. He was walking with a slight swagger and had a shirt on his face, which immediately caught the attention of their fellow firefighters.

"So Matt, looks like you had a good night." one of the younger firefighters, Stella Kidd, teased as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Matt's smirk turned into a full blown grin as he leaned against the kitchen counter. "I always have a good night, Stella."

Gabby rolled her eyes at his cockiness, but couldn't deny that she was also feeling pretty confident after their night together.

Their chief, Wallace Boden, walked in and raised an eyebrow at the scene in front of him. "What's going on here?"

Stella turned to face Boden, with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh nothing, just admiring the morning after sex swagger on these two."

Boden couldn't help but chuckle at the banter between his firefighters. "Well, I hope you both had a great time, but we have work to do. Let's get to it. Also Dawson it's officially been 6 months of you working at 51."

As Boden walked away, Gabriella and Matt exchanged a knowing look. They were both experienced firefighters and knew how to prioritize their job, but they couldn't help but bask in the afterglow of their night together.

Throughout the morning, the rest of firefighters couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in Gabby and Matt's behavior. They more touchy-feely and giggly than usual, and it was clear to everyone that something had happened between them last night.

Kelly Severide, Gabby's closest friend at 51, was the first to confront them. "So, did something happen between you two last night?"

Gabriella and Matt looked at each other, unsure of how much they wanted to share with their friends. But with a smirk on her face, Gabby couldn't resist spilling the beans. "Let's just say, we took our relationship to the next level."

The rest of the team erupted into cheers and teasing, happy to see their friends happy. But amidst all the excitement, Gabby couldn't help but feel a little nervous. She and Matt had only been dating for two months, and she wasn't sure if they were moving too fast. But then she remembered the chemistry between them, and all her doubts disappeared.

As the day went on, the team was called out on various emergencies. And as they worked together, Gabby and Matt couldn't help but show their affection for each other. They were a strong team on and off the field, and it seemed like the whole firehouse was rooting for them.

Towards the end of shift, Gabriella and Matt were left alone for a moment. Matt leaned in to kiss Gabby, but they were interrupted by the sound of the firehouse alarm.

"Looks like we have another call" she said as she put on her gear.

As they rushed out of the firehouse, they couldn't help but think about how their lives had changed so dramatically in just one night. They had gone from colleagues to friends to lovers, and it all felt so natural.

As they reached the scene of the emergency, they worked together seamlessly, as if they were communicating through telepathy. They rescued a family trapped in a burning building, and as they were checking for injuries, Gabby couldn't help but feel grateful that she had Matt by her side.

Later that evening, after their shift had ended, the couple sat on Gabby's couch in her apartment, exhausted but happy. They talked about their day, and how they had worked together so well on that last call.

"You know, we make a great team." Matt said, as he intertwined his fingers with Gabby's.

Gabriella smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder, "We do, don't we? And not just on the job, but in everything."

Matt looked down at her and planted a kiss on her forehead, "I love you, Gabriella Dawson"

A genuine smile spread across her face as she replied. "I love you too, Matt Casey."

As they settled into the couch watching TV and enjoying each other's company, Gabby couldn't help but feel like this was just the beginning of their happy future together.
