"What time is it?" Josh pulled out his phone. "11:38." He answered glancing back at me. "I have to go. It's getting late." "Really?" He whined. I nodded which made him sigh. "Call me when you get home. I need to make sure your safe." "Okay dad." I giggled as we shared a quick hug. "It was nice meeting you." I looked at Oli and he smiled but it was fake; just for Josh. "Yes. It was. Have a nice night."
I walked out of Josh's cozy house into the cool night air. I sighed and unlocked my car, getting settled in, closed the door and turned on the engine. The radio turned on, nearly scaring me half to death.
I turned it off, deciding I wanted to let silence consume me. 'Why would Oli do that... I thought he liked me...' I pondered. Desperate for answers, I lost my focus on the road. "Beeeep." I snapped out of my trance of thoughts and gripped the wheel, knuckles turning white. "Watch where your goining!!!" A lady yelled at me through the window. I took in a deep breath and continued driving to my humble adobe.
I got off my car, locked it and entered my empty, lonely house. Without thinking, I threw my keys on the little table by the front door and walked up the stairs, into my room. I changed into my pajamas quickly and hopped into bed. Just thinking in the darkness.
The Next Day
"Did you get ANY sleep last night?" Morgan emphasized the word any. "No. Is it that noticeable?" Alex nodded and I sighed. "You love sleep! What's wrong?" I glanced at the guys, hesitant to let them in on the whole Oli situation.
"C'mon Lina, you can trust us." I nodded and took a deep breath. "Remember when I was at the hospital? Well Oli told me he liked me... and I figured out that I have feelings for him too. Anyways, yesterday I went to Josh's house. Oli was there. Josh doesn't know about all this so he introduced us and Oli acted as if he didn't know me!!" I ranted. "You want to know what I think?" Alex paused. "I think you should tell him all your feelings and hopefully, he'll still feel the same." "Yeah. I agree with Alex, the reason he's acting this is way is because he thinks you don't like him back." Morgan added.
I just stared at them and grinned like Cheshire Cat. "What?" They asked in unison. "I'm so glad I have you guys. I love both of you." They awwed and we all shared a group hug.
