"Oli I- I can't..." "W-what?" He asked completely shocked.
"I can't marry you, I'm sorry.""Why not?" He stood up and walked towards me.
"You don't love me.." He mumbled. "No. I do...It's just that...if I don't make it...""Stop it Celina. Stop." "Well I'm saying the truth! We can't just ignore it and act as if everything will turn out okay Oli!"
"I j-just..." His voice trailed off and he turned his gaze to the window. "I need some fresh air."
Oli's POV
I walked to the park across from the hospital and sat at a swing.
'She doesn't deserve all of this. She deserves to be happy...and healthy.'
"Excuse me mister, why are you sad?" I looked up from the ground to see a little girl around seven years old.
"C'mon. Don't be shy. You can tell me." I took another look at her and sighed a little.
"My girlfriend's in the hospital. She's really sick and she has a very little chance of surviving."
She nodded and smiled a bit.
"Do you love her?""More than anything in the world." I felt a tear slide down my cheek and I quickly wiped it away. "It's okay to crying mister. Crying is a natural response to pain."
I looked up at her and she extended her arms. "Do you need a hug?" When I didn't answer her she did anyway.
"Just pray to God and all will work out."
'I don't believe in him.' is what I would usually say but I decided to try. It's all I have left.
After the girl's mother came and collected her I decided it was time to go back to the hospital and check on Celina.
As I walked in Nicholls ran up to me and I noticed he was sobbing. "What's wrong?! Is she okay?!" I asked frantically.
"I was in her r-room and we were talking and then her heart stopped...I'm so sorry Oliver."
"She's gone?" He nodded and I fell to my knees.
"Agggghhhhh!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and pulled at my hair. "Oliver Sykes?" I looked up to see the nurse who was taking care of Celina. "It's all your fault!!! I hate you!!" I yelled at both her and the doctor who was behind her. "I'm sorry for your loss." She stated sympathetically and handed me a folded piece of paper. "She told me to give this to you."
