As you glanced around, a sinking feeling settled in your gut. "We're surrounded," you muttered under your breath, eyeing the group of thugs with a mix of defiance and nerves. Their leader, trying to look tough, was met with your challenge.

"Don't you know this is Toman's turf?" you barked, hoping to intimidate them, but it seemed they hadn't gotten the memo. Observing their armed stance, you braced yourself, turning to Emma with a forced smile.

"Stay behind me. It'll take just five min, promise," you said, hoping to sound more confident than you felt. With a nod from Emma, you took off your bag, cracking your knuckles as you prepared for what was to come

"Let's end it fast. Ain't got time to waste," you declared, trying to summon your inner resolve.

But before you could fully ready yourself, one of them, clearly angered by your attitude, came charging at you with a bat. Reacting on instinct, you shifted into defense mode, wincing as the bat collided with your hand.

Gritting your teeth against the pain, you seized the moment, using the momentum to deliver a powerful knee strike that left him doubled over in agony. With a swift kick, you sent him tumbling away.

But there was no time to rest. Another opponent lunged at you, fists flying. You smoothly evaded his punches, weaving in and out of his strikes with the grace of a dancer.

Then, in a fluid motion, you countered with a powerful side kick, catching him square in the ribs and sending him crashing to the ground.

Meanwhile, Emma stood behind you, her eyes wide with awe and fear. You shot her a quick glance, a silent reassurance that you had everything under control.

With precise footwork, you darted between your enemy, delivering a barrage of strikes and kicks that left them reeling.

A roundhouse kick sent one thug sprawling, while a spinning back kick knocked another off balance. You moved with effortless grace, each movement was calculated and purposeful. The other thugs wasted no time, rushing in to defend their friend.

With Emma's safety at the forefront of your mind, you sprang into action, relying on your training in Taekwondo. You ducked and weaved, dodging their blows with the agility of a cat. As they closed in, you countered with a roundhouse kick that sent one thug sprawling.

But amidst the chaos, you caught a glimpse of something glinting in the moonlight—a blade. Your heart skipped a beat as you realized the danger. In a split second, you tried to dodge, but it was too late. Pain exploded in your abdomen as the blade found its mark, a single, searing stab that left you gasping for air.
