(Woah.)"I hate you!" Dan screamed. He shoved the door open and began to run. He ran until his legs hurt. He looked around and realized he didn't know where he was. He sat down in the grass and hugged his knees to his chest. His tears fell onto his jeans. His body shook with silent sobs. He could hear footsteps approaching him.
He sat up and wiped his eyes. He sniffed a bit and someone sat down next to him. "Are you alright?" The body asked. Dan looked at him and nodded. His red eyes itched and his nose ran. "I'm fine." The boy gave him a look. "Want to talk about it?" Dan shook his head no.
They sat in silence for a bit and Dan slowly relaxed. His sobs turned to sniffles. His sniffles turned to hiccups. "I'm Phil." The boy said quietly. Dan nodded. "I'm Dan, thank you but I have to find a phone." He began to get up and Phil grabbed his arms.
Both boys watched in astonishment as colors burst from Phil's finger tips and danced acrossed Dans skin. Dan gasped and reached out to touch Phil's face. Green streaks shot out from his fingers and laced around Phil's eyes. They stared at each other for a moment and the next Phil was tracing Dan's arms. Green lacy streaks ran up and down Dan's arm. Dan breathed out softly.
"I found you." Phil whispered. Dan nodded. The emotions running through both of them were too strong for words. "What's wrong." Phil asked. Dan rested his head on Phil's shoulder. "My parents were yelling at me because I'm gay. I'm running away." He managed. Phil hugged him close.
"My parents will let you stay with us." Phil said quietly. Slowly Phil helped Dan to his feet. "Let's go home." Phil guided Dan down streets until they reached a small house. Phil knocked on the door and a small woman opened the door. "Oh Phil honey! Home already?" She asked. "Sorry I didn't get the milk. I found something better." Dan watched as she looked him over. She looked at Phil and said. "Is that him?" Phil nodded excitedly. "Well come in!" She exclaimed.
Dan walked into the small house and was overwhelmed with the smell of cookies. "I've made cookies and your welcome to stay for dinner!" Phil's mother said from behind the boys. Phil turned and whispered something in her ear. "Oh sweetheart!" She exclaimed loudly. She pulled Dan into a tight hug. "Your welcome to stay here for as long as you want." She whispered in his ear.
Dan broke down. Phil's family was so kind and accepting. He wiped his tears and smiled. "Thank you so much." She smiled kindly and gestured for him to sit on the couch. "Tell me about yourself." She said.
"My names Dan Howell, I'm 19, I enjoy video games and muse. My parents kicked me out and my soulmate has the kindest family." Dan said. She chuckled and replied. "Dan your welcome to stay with us if you would like." Phil nodded. "Thank you, your very kind but I have an apartment I've been looking at buying."
Phil's face fell but he nodded. "Hey mum can you bring up the cookies when they're done? I'm going to show Dan my room." Phil's mum nodded and ushered them to leave. "Oh Dan, call me Leah." She added before leaving the boys alone.
Dan sighed. "I love your mom." Phil giggled a bit. "Come on!" He squealed. Phil grabbed Dan's hand and pulled him up the stairs. They rounded a corner in the hall and Phil pulled him into a simple blue room. The floor was coated with creme colored carpet. Phil flopped on his bed and looked at him through his fringe.
"Hey." He whispered. Dan smiled. "Hey." They looked at each other for a while. "Do you want to move in with me?" Dan asked. Phil's eyes shone with happiness. "Yes of course." They both smiled and Dan sat on the bed next to Phil. He twisted around to get a better view of Dan.
