Nine or None

A week passed after the incident in studio and almost everyone felt the shift in the energy of the group. The staff noticed that the nine girls were now no more acting awkward to each other, even if there we quiet moments they were not uneasy.

However something still wasn't right, yes things were better but they weren't right. Tzuyu and Jeongyeon avoided each other like plaque. There were time when they asked all the other members to take selfie for their social media while all the other girls were posing comfortably with each other these two were standing quite far away from each other.

Timeskip

It was an oddly quiet night and Tzuyu found herself alone with a bottle of whiskey which she downed like water. In her lap for Minjoong, the loyal soft toy which has been Tzuyu's trusted buddy since debut.

While she was downing another shot of her whiskey she heard the door creek, she couldn't be bothered to turn around and check who it was because the person made it known who it was.

"Drinking so much isn't good for you Tzuyu."

She put the glass down and scoffed, patting Minjoong on head.

"And who are you to tell me that?"

Jeongyeon braved up and sat on the chair infront of her staring at the furry stuffed toy infront of her seeing this Tzuyu spoke out loud.

"You know, when I first came to Korea I didn't have friends. I had no one to talk to because my Korean wasn't that good. Then I saw him in a store and decided to take him home. He's been with me through everything."

Of course Jeongyeon remembers those days one incident specifically, one incident after which she decided to take Tzuyu under her wing. The day she promised herself to protect this innocent girl.

Flashback

It was a week after the rumored perfect trainee finally made her appearance in the JYP practice room evoking both jealousy and fondness in other trainees. The other trainees tried to befriend the new kid but the language barrier got the best out of them.

When it was lunch time the younger girl was sitting alone with her food in the corner, from a glance anyone could tell the girl was pretty. She looked cold and aloof but her eyes held glint of innocence.

Jeongyeon found out that Dahyun had managed to become friends with this Tzuyu girl, she heard from Nayeon that her name was Tzuyu. So, when she approached Tzuyu with a hi she didn't expect the girl to give her a cold shoulder.

"What's the deal with the new girl?"

She asked putting her tray down on the table

"Tzuyu you mean? Why what happened?"

Nayeon asked slurping her noodles, Jeongyeon cringed at her lightly slapping the back of her head.

"Eat before you speak. Anyways, I greeted her and she just straight up ignored me."

"She didn't ignore you Jeong, she is just shy plus after what happened yesterday I think she's just cautious."

Jeongyeon furrowed her brows "What happened yesterday?" Jihyo who was sitting in front of her looked at her with amusement "How are you so clueless about your surroundings? Ae-ri and her minions tried to bully her luckily Dahyun and Chaeyoung were there so nothing much happened."

Jeongyeon immediately got up slamming her hands down on the table. "I need to go and apologize to her." Nayeon hit her square in the face with crumbled tissue "Calm down she is in school right now and she will go straight to the dorm."
