"Aunty!"
A groan fell out of your mouth as you got interrupted from your peaceful sleep by the voices shaking you awake frantically
Two kids stood beside your bed with equal excitement on their faces and it immediately made it clear to you that they either had done something or something else had happened
These two children were your nephews from your brother which you loved and took care of a lot. The two of them were close to each others age, Matthew being 10 and Leon being 8.
Both of them were very mischievous like their father but of course you were the one who was up to discipline them from their actions which you didn't mind doing at all. Your brothers wife Marie had died just a year after giving birth to Leon which then left you with the responsibility to take of them
Matthew and Leon shared your heart equally with no other exception and most people knew that from the start you took care of them
You felt like a mother to them and it was clear they were very attacked to you which made you adore them even more but of course it was impossible to restore the longing of a mother which you knew very well
"Now what are you two doing up so early, huh?" You asked the two kids with a smile before reaching out to pull them on your bed, pressing kisses over their soft faces causing them to giggle under your touch
"Father said we will be going on a ship today!, a very big one!"
Leon exclaimed out with excitement laced in his voice as he cuddled into your arms further with Matthew on your other side equally looking excited like his younger brother
"is that so hm?" You asked the two while thinking to yourself which ship it could be and why they would be attending, you didn't remember any invitation to any ship
You got pulled out of your thoughts by your door opening, revealing your brother in a formal suit as always and a small smile on his face as he approached your bed. "the boys are right we will be going to a ship Celebration, we kindly got invited by a chief officer in a town a bit far away"
"Oh really which chief is it?"
"Chief Ackerman"
Levi stared at his documents on his desk with a usual blank on his face...however his mind was clouded with the thoughts of one woman
The woman from yesterday...she just wouldn't leave his mind
The moment he got home from his meeting with the land lords, he immediately send out his workers to find out who could possibly be...you intruded him which was something he didn't prefer
His workers soon informed him that you were the sister of one of the lords in the village where he first saw you so for once he let his curiosity get the best of him so he send an invitation to your brother on to one of the meetings that would take place on a ship...he specifically wrote on the invitation to bring family members...
Levi was never the type for celebrations which was clear since he wasn't the one who planned it but one of his allies but with his power he had the right to invite anyone he wanted to
"Tch..."
The 40 year old man got up from his chair with an annoyed look coating his stern face as he knocked over the papers on his desk angrily, his fist banging on the wooden surface of his desk
He was trying badly to get himself together from his ratchet thoughts but he just couldn't..which was impossible to believe. Anything Levi Ackerman wanted he could do
But not this time
With a loud huff he left his office and made his way towards his bedroom, his servants bowing to him as he made his way along the halls to his room. He didn't even spare a single glance at the people in his house, too infuriated by his mind
His door slammed against the wall harshly before it got shut again by his foot slamming against the wooden surface
In a swift move Levi took off his formal clothes and then neatly placing them back in his closet cleanly, he was furious with himself but reminded himself that he needed to keep his environment clean
He was met with his bandaged face in the reflexion of the mirror causing him to distort at his own appearance, it refreshed his memory of his past state and how he had gotten here
After the death of the multiple people he had once held dear in his heart and the battles he had faced...he just couldn't feel anything no more
His heart felt dull however after he caught a glimpse of you he felt his heart clench immensely like something had awakened inside of him which just sparked anger inside of him but also curiosity.
Levi was a Lord in one of the richest cities of the country after all the hard work he provided in the economy, working was the only thing that kept his mind occupied from all the deep thoughts
However of course it wasn't easy at all with his one blind and his one hand almost gone with only three of his fingers remaining
He had never let anyone take care of him after the accidents that had occurred on him no matter how difficult it had gotten for him, he had gotten use to it
Your touch on his left hand lingered on his skin...deep in his mind he thanked the god above that you didn't notice his right hand

Levi's steel eyes trailed to the clock hanging on the wall which showed that it was now 5PM...he only had one hour to get ready before the meeting would start
