Your attention was immediately taken back by the beautiful appearance of the mansion
It was filled with light and bright colours and the if you listened closely you could hear the birds chip and the horses neigh happily which filled your heart with peace and relaxation
Armin was the name of the young man who was currently leading you around the stables, introducing you to the servants but of course the best part was where he lead you right where the many horses were
"This is Scout! Our black beauty"
You happily smiled as you looked at the male black horse neigh in his stable with his head moving around slightly as Armin ran his hand along his snout
"My lady he won't bite" you looked at Armin with a slightly concerned face as you hadn't been around horses for a while so approaching one was quite a bit of a new experience for you
However the way his blue orbs shined made you gain courage so you walked to where the stable boy was and did the same thing he did. You ran your fingers across the horses snout which he replied to with a happy neigh
It felt forever since the last time you touched a horse or generally were around animals since the passing of your father
The horse in front of you was absolutely beautiful
Dark hair and black fur but with small white spots along his legs
He was really a black beauty...
"M'lady" a female voice called out
You turned around just to see a taller woman with short black hair and a stoic expression on her face to which you looked confused at before smiling
"Lady Elizabeth requested for your presence in the tea room...if you may?"
She spoke in a calm tone to which you nodded but before you could walk, you did notice the stare Armin gave off to the dark haired woman
It was a stare that held in emotions such as anger and dissatisfaction before he returned to his soft one
"I thought Lady Elizabeth would be away with the squire for today?" You asked to cut the intense atmosphere which worked as the two workers snapped out of it and turned to your figure
"The squire left for some errands but Lady Elizabeth did not accompany him as she knew you would be coming" the woman answered with the neutral expression on her face remaining
"Oh isn't that nice? Could you please show me the way?"
The woman nodded before directing you to the entrance of the mansion as it seemed
The inside of the mansion was even more unique than the outside fields but also quite familiar, the walls had the same pale yellow colour and some flower painting in the corners
It was quiet...however that did not live long as a female's voice ran out at the top of the stairs
You looked up just to see an older woman with a bright smile plastered on her face as she quickly made her way down the stairs
Your eye's widened as the woman pulled you into a hug, pushing your figure into her own happily as if you were some solider who returned home after war
"Oh it is such a delight to see you! You're just as beautiful as your brother had told us!" The unknown woman cheered happily to your appearance to which you could only smile at
"O-Oh! You must be Lady Elizabeth!"
"Yes that would be me!" She rooted happily before finally stepping away with a smile still on her face
"Your brother has told me and my husband so much about you! And oh he was right about your beauty"
"Thank you so much my lady!, it mean's a lot to be here"
"Mikasa why don't you set us up some tea won't you dear?"
Lady Elizabeth spoke in a jolly voice to the server standing beside you to which she nodded to before leaving off to make some tea
The older woman then lead you into a room with some fancy chairs and a small table in front of them
"Please my dear have a seat"
You reluctantly sat down with your smile remaining on your face as she did the same in front of you
"My husband has told me about your love for animals...so tell my dear why is that?"
The woman asked with her facial expression relaxing, listening to your words and answers
"Animals are just innocent creatures...I generally love them because of my father"
You answered in an equally calm tone as the woman in front of you listened before asking more questions
The questions were simple such as how the family was doing or what your usual activities were to which you replied to with common answers, telling her some stuff but not going into much details
The entire conversation between you and the Lady seemed to be calm and relaxed which was something you really needed
Mikasa interrupted one time with the tea's she had made before taking her leave again
Lady Elizabeth was a very kind woman but what you found odd that she was the type that never went along with the squire but you guessed that she was the type that wanted to stay home
Time had passed by quickly but the gossip between you and the lady was still lively and filled with excitement right before you got interrupted by a servant knocking on the door
It was Mikasa
„Lady Elizabeth...we just got a letter by the people of the Ackerman house"
Lady Elizabeth turned her head towards the black haired female with an interested expression on her face
„Oh? And what would the lovely chief Ackerman want from us so suddenly?"
Your heart started beating faster at the mention of the familiar name...
„I am sorry to inform that chief Ackerman has fallen sick"
Mikasa informed the rich woman with her eyes training over to your figure before looking away again
„Oh my! Could one of our medicine supplies help him?"
Lady Elizabeth asked in a concerned tone as her own mind was flooded with both curiosity and concern
Chief Ackerman had been here a few times yet he always had a cold aura around him which did set the rich woman off in a concerning way...
„Fortunately our supplies is just what the lord needs...it would be best to send someone on horse to bring him the medicine"
The eyes of the Lady Elizabeth trail towards your seated figure who was deep in thought of the older male who had fallen sick out of the blue
„Mhm...oh Y/N! Why don't you bring it over the lord!"
Your eyes snapped open in surprise at the sudden request of the woman, not expecting her to boldly ask for something to unusual
„M'lady forgive me for asking however would it not be wiser for one of your attendances to go instead of me?" you asked in a both confused and surprised tone, still not comprehending why the woman would ask you to go
„Oh my dear do not take it as a person insult...all of people are unavailable to ride to the lord so you are the perfect candidate!"
„B-But-„
„Mikasa please inform Armin so he can get one of our horses"
