24th Beat: Exchanging Partners?!!

“Get your hands off her!” David angrily commanded as he put Phoebus’ hand away from Rhoyce.

“Wait! What’s your problem, bro?” Phoebus smirked.

“Phoebus Shim! Don’t you dare come near Rhoyce!” he said as he grabbed Rhoyce’s hands and led her out of the car.

“David?! What the hell is this?! Why are you scolding me?!” Phoebus was starting to get angry.

“We’re best friends…yes. I don’t meddle with your personal affairs but when it comes to Rhoyce,  it’s a different story!” he said and forcefully walked with Rhoyce away from Phoebus and Janus

“Aish!!!” was all that Phoebus said while Janus was looking at him.

                David was still holding on to Rhoyce’s hands, away from Phoebus..

“David, wait!” Rhoyce said as she tried to get David’s hands off her.

“Rhoyce! Don’t you love Dylan anymore? He’s in US for work and here you are, playing games with somebody else!” David said, frankly.

“But he left me for that Leighton Lively!” Rhoyce said.

“No! Don’t believe those rumors! He told us everything! Why don’t you try open your FB and Twitter accounts? Why don’t you try to answer his calls and listen to him? He loves you!”

                Rhoyce started to cry. David smashed his face with his hands.

“Look, sorry if I had been careless and harsh but I just wanna let you realize thay Dylan hyung loves you!” he said as he tried to hug Rhoyce.

                This is the scene which Shine witnessed  nearby. She was looking for him and someone told he is with Janus.

“David? Rhoyce?” Shine walked away, devastated.

                Shine was wiping her tears away. So, all along Rhoyce and David are secretly seeing each other? How long have they been fooling her? She was so angry. Suddenly, Drake saw her..

“Shine? Any problem” he said, with deep concern in his voice.

“Nothing.” She wiped her tears and pretended to smile. “I’m oK.”

“Aish! Come on..tell me.” Drake looked at her then wiped her tears away. “Ah! I have an idea! Let’s gO!” Drake suddenly said as he grabbed Shine’s hand and started to run.

                Dylan’s shooting for his international movie has just finished so he rushed to go home. He immediately booked for a flight back home. He didn’t know he’s headed for a conflict.

“At last you smiled.” It’s Drake. He was looking at Shine. 

He brought Shine to a park although they just stayed inside the car. They ate ice cream. Shine was smiling now.

“When I was a kid, Dad would buy me ice cream whenever I am sad. It’s an effective way to cheer me up.” Drake shared then breathes deeply.

“If only things were as easy as that.” Shine finally spoke.  She looks down at her hands and remembered how David held them.  She thought, Could it be that David has been holding to Rhoyce’s hands too?
