26th Beat: A Ray of Hope

Eunhye hurriedly called the Doctor. She was even more surprised upon seeing Drake open his eyes.

“It’s a good sign” The doctor said.  “I’ll check his vital signs.”  He said and examined Drake carefully.  He requested the people there to leave for a while. Only him and the nurses were left.

“I hope he’s OK now” says Eunhye.

“Let’s think positive. The fact that he’s awake is already a good thing.” Derrick smiled.

                They were still talking when the doctor came out of the room.

“He’s showing good signs. Just let him have enough rest.” He said and allowed them to enter the room.

                Since Drake was already awake, he was transferred into a private room. Only David and Dylan were inside the ICU. Eunhye and Derrick and Omma Lee were the ones who are taking care of him.

“I’m glad you’re awake” Eunhye said as she held Drake’s hand.

                Drake smiled for a while.

“I miss you…” he said “But I miss eating too.” He joked. All of them laughed. Derrick went for a while to buy food.

“3D Brothers Keyboardist Drake Lee regains consciousness.”

                It was the headline for Entertainment news that morning.

“3D Brothers member, Drake Lee finally regained consciousness last night after officially falling into comatose for 2 days after a vehicular accident,” the reporter announced. “Based from the tweet by its manager, Lee woke up from coma 10:00 last night. He also confirmed this good news through an official message he sent to the media.

“Drake is now out-of-danger and is resting. We hope 3D Brothers’ fans, the Dimensioners will pray for his fast recovery. “- Manager

                The Dimensioners were happy for this news…but still they have to pray for Dylan and David.

                Two days passed. Drake is slowly recovering. He still has bandage on his head and quite weak. There are times that he would ask Derrick to help him go to Dylan and David. He hopes that they wake up already.

“I hope they wake up now,” Drake told Manager Hyung as both of them visited the room where Dylan and David were staying.

“Let’s continue praying. “ manager said as he tapped Drake’s shoulder.

9:00 AM. Omma Cho just went home for a while to cook food. Shine was there since she has no schedule for that day. Suddenly, she saw David’s eyes slowly open…

“David!” she covered her lips with her hands, surprised. She hugged him tightly and began to sob.

“I’m glad you’re awake.” She said, totally forgetting to call the doctor. Just then, Manager Hyung arrived.
