"Lilith! Hey, great to see you again! Come on in! Who's the lovely lady you brought along?" Luke asks and winks at Molly, his weird behavior from earlier completely forgotten.
"That's my best friend Molly. Molly, this is Luke. The one I told you about."
"Nice to meet you," she says and Luke answers with an appreciative nod in her direction.
"Follow me, ladies." Luke leads us downstairs and some sort of bar comes into view. I'm not too sure of the whereabouts of the old Archangels' headquarters but I'm guessing this was the legal part with public access.
There are soccer stickers covering the wooden walls as well as posters of many famous bands and singers.
The bar stools look like they have seen better days but the bar still has some charm to it.Several doors lead away from the bar and Luke opens one of them and gestures for us to follow.
Molly casts me a doubtful look but I nod assuringly.I know for some people the whole atmosphere seems strange but I've grown up around places like this and now I'm as much of an outlaw with a public-prove facade as the Archangels were. As my club, the Eagles, still are.
"Ladies, meet my two friends. The one over there is Jake. Jake, say hi!" Luke's voice is overly excited and nobody would guess the darkness that lingers beneath his goofy attitude.
"Hi," a deep voice hits us and said man welcomes us with a hesitant but friendly nod. His long brown hair frames his face and his beard hides most of his features.
He sits on a chair but still, you can tell that he's taller and bulkier than Luke.
The white short sleeve reveals the tattoos that run down his arms and bleed into his hands. Silver rings decorate his fingers and the other jewelry I can spot, is the ring on his left nostril.Badass, not gonna lie. Jake's and Luke's vibes are so different that it's almost comical seeing these two together. But I guess the same could be said for Molly and I.
My leather jacket and light blue bootcut jeans along with a band tee stand in contrast to Molly's white cardigan with a light blue shirt and some regular jeans.
As I let my look travel further through the room, I spot the bass that sits next to Jake in a stand. I remember Luke mentioning something about a band. Apparently he was serious.
"Hi, I'm Lilith," I introduce myself and Jake shakes my hand.
"Like the demon?" He then asks with a raised eyebrow.
Luke laughs loudly. "Exactly like the demon! She's nicer though."
"Wow, thanks Luke," I roll my eyes but can't hide a smile.
"And you are?" Jake asks Molly.
"Jake, don't interrupt me! I was going to do the introduction! You're so impatient! That's Molly, Lilith's friend," Luke explains.
"Nice to meet you," Jake nods and continues, "so I'm guessing if Luke trusts you and you trust Molly, you're both acceptable company," he concludes.
"We sure are. And I'm assuming since Luke drags you along, you're not too bad either." I shoot back.
Jake chuckles, "I like you. Not so sure about the other guy though."
As if on command the door opens again and another man comes in. For a moment, I'm frozen in place because this might just be the most handsome man I've ever seen.
Pitch black hair falls leisurely around his head in a Kurt Cobain kind of way, whilst framing a finely structured face.
But what strikes me most are his eyes. They hold the palest blue, almost icy framed by dark long lashes.
